This is an #EHOL from last week, so I don't totally remember the context, but I do know it was leading into a wonderful weekend mini-retirement. I'm not sure if it is apparent or not, but I had not done my Emotional Hygiene Post before recording this, and I feel like it really made a difference. It was a little difficult for me to reach for things I was grateful for because I hadn't yet thought about it that day. That's one of the main benefits, I think, to doing the #EHOLs. They make you focus on all the things you are grateful for, intentions, etc. so when you are reaching for a better thought later in the day, you have a list of things to reach for.
Watching this after almost a week since we recorded it makes me feel good. Its makes me want to feel that good all the time! It helps me remember what a fun week and weekend we had. That is the number one reason why we record our podcast: so we can go back and watch our own eps and remember how awesome our lives are. And, of course, so you all can share ...

This is the first time I've attended a pre-game American Football Tailgate.
I must admit there was more to look at there than I expected... classic cars, helicopters, piles of trash; they just about had it all. ;)
None of the Mayos ended up watching the American football game because it was raining. We went and saw "Wall Street" at the cinemas instead.

A Local Authority holds an annual series of concerts called the Big 7 which culminates in the Big Weekend. I was provided with a collection of stills graphics and footage and asked to edit a short piece to promote and illustrate the event. Essential brief was to try and capture the community spirit and good nature of the event.

As you may know, I love to sing. This past weekend I had the honor and privilege to perform before 1,000+ people attending the camporee celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. There was a huge conga line, a beach ball flying through the air, a mosh pit and people asking for an encore. Now I know how "real" rock stars must feel. It was pretty cool. Listen in as I sing Lee Greenwood's "God Bless The U.S.A." and Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World".
