Austin, TX Oct 5, 2011 - Thousands of Longhorns fans gathered for the annual pep rally at The University of Texas before the weekend's football game against the University of Oklahoma. The Torchlight Parade started in 1916 and was a tradition that lasted through the late 1960s. The parade started at 8 p.m. at 25th Street and Whitis Street , and the rally at 8:30 p.m. took place on the mall in front of the UT Tower. Third-ranked Oklahoma (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) and No. 11 Texas (4-0, 1-0) meet Saturday in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

This week was a little different than most Richard, Steve and Dave went racing at a nearby track and then up to bramcote later on in the day . So there wasn't much footage of the cars this weekend. The intention was to record at the track but we were too busy repairing our cars during races we didnt have enough time.
Instead we have put together a compilation of the huge big air jumps we have done this year.

Foreign ministers of the 27 member states of the European Union met in Sopot, Poland, at the weekend for their informal meeting under the Polish presidency of the European Union in the second half of 2011.
The ministers, together with EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, discussed the EU's plans to support Libya, a possible oil embargo for Syria and the 'Eastern Partnership', the strategy for dealing with countries such as Ukraine, Belarus and Russia.
The twice-yearly informal meeting of EU foreign ministers is also known as the 'Gymnich' meeting, named after the town in Germany where such regular meeting was first held.
Europe's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton travelled to Israel and the Palestinian territories this weekend in an attempt to get the parties to return to the negotiating table and get the Middle East Peace Process back on track.Â
Palestine is preparing to apply for membership of the United Nations in September. Ashton wants to push the Palestineans and Israel to get back to the negotiating table. The talks have been suspended for almost a year because of the dispute over Jewish settlements in Palestine.
Ashton met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad on Sunday and also discussed the peace process with Norway's foreign minister.
In her meeting with Israeli government representatives, Ashton was told that Israel feels that the Palestinian plan to seek UN statehood recognition is "counter-productive" and "misguided."
Ashton's three-day visit to the Middle East ends on Monday with a visit to Jordan's King Abdullah.

Fears of potential gridlock quickly earned it the name "Carmageddon" and Angeleno's prepared themselves for the worst. The crew were back at the race track again this weekend. Dave had his brand new flo tek body shell on the traxxas slash, which he had painted himself.
Steve came down with his blitz and was bashing like crazy no change there. Richard was the same with his hyper 7 flying through the sky huge jumps fast passes and crazy crashes. Junior brought along a friend this week Bill he brought along a savage 4.6 which spent most of its time on its back wheels.
Aden had his strada sc and bashed it so much his motor literally burnt out. Lee was there with his baja 5b and we caught some nice action of him drifting. Pete brought along his hyper 7 and went crazy with the jumps.
The rain put of allot of people this week but the solders remained!

The race track was in full swing again this weekend and we were joined by Dan who hasn't been in a while he had his new vorza flux pimped out with a mamba max brushless system. Dave had another new car the Traxxas slash. Steve came with his blitz and was thrashing it round on 2s lipo. Richards Hyper 7 was filmed doing a back flip. Pete was determined to bash his hyper to the max. Aidan's Maverick SC let him down this week as he had problems with his speed controller.
Adam and his dad were there also with there Tomahawk ST and NB16. We also had a new member to the team Bob and his family were there with a CEN 1/10 truggy.
It was yet again a crazy fun packed stunt weekend.

Last weekend I went to Ciudad Juárez to join the march for Peace, organized to demand the end of violence in Mexico, especially in Ciudad Juárez, called by some news sources the most dangerous city in the world.
With about a hundred other El Pasons, I walked across the international bridge to join the march.
What amazed me most about this gathering of thousands was how many regular people came out with pictures and the names of their dead.
It’s as if they were there, not for political purposes, not for symbolic reasons, but because they wanted to remember their loved ones, wanted to shout their names, wanted someone to know, wanted justice, wanted somebody to do something.
I took a lot of photos that day, but the ones that struck me the most were those of the family members and friends of the dead.
I put this video together to remember.

It was both a pleasure and an honor to be able to meet and speak with Lee Meriwether at WonderCon in San Francisco. To be able to interview a living legend like Lee was really a highlight of our weekend. Lee won Miss America in 1955 and her career took off from there. She played Catwoman in the Batman movie, was Tracey in Mission Impossible, and Lily Munster in the remake of The Munsters to name a few of her more prominent roles.
KP speaks with Lee about her long standing career and how it was to work with some of the biggest names in the history of Hollywood. They also talk about the wide range of genres and work she has done over the past 50 years.
