Apple's new iPhone 3G is available with lines out the door of Apple and AT&T stores around the world, but is the new iPhone a big enough step up from the original? Let's take a look at the good on the new iPhone. The iphone 3G is a lot faster when browsing the internet than the original iPhone, which relied on the pokey EDGE Network when it wasn't connected to wireless access point. With 3G mode is enabled, you can easily see between 300-500 K down, toasting the original's download speed. The iphone 3G even sounds better, providing clearer call quality than the original iPhone, on both 3G and GSM mode. The physical design of the phone has improved as well, with the headphone jack now flush with the device instead of being recessed as it is on the first iPhone. This is a big deal, because it means you can use any pair of standard headphones to listen to your tunes without an adapter, as opposed to the first iPhone, which required you to use Apple's specially designed ear bud headphones. And the 3G's GPS ...
Apple's new iPhone App store is the most exciting aspect of the phone's updated operating system, which comes installed on the the new 3G models and is a free upgrade for original iPhone owners. Over 500 applications created by third party developers are already available at the App store, many of them free and most of them with a price tag of less than 10 dollars. Apple has been very selective about which apps they'll allow in the store, but have they been selective enough? We'll run down which apps that are worth owning and which apps are a bust. First of all, Apple's own “remote” app is a must have. It turns your iPhone into a remote that can control your iTunes library and your Apple TV, displaying info about whatever song or movie you are playing on the phone's screen. File Magnet is a nifty app that lets you wirelessly upload PDFs, Office docs, videos, pictures, and audio files to view or listen to. Guitar toolkit is awesome for musicians out there, because it features a functional ...
The iPhone is far and away the hottest gadget on the market. Apple has sold over 6 million of them since the iPhone launched last year. And with the release of the cheaper and faster iPhone 3G, the company is sure to hit, and surpass, their goal of 10 million sold by the end of the year. But not everyone is happy with the iPhone's advanced touch screen technology... women with long fingernails are having lots of trouble getting the popular device to work for them. The iPhone's touchscreen is designed to respond to the electrical charge emitted by a person's fingertips, and since fingernails do not emit a charge, it becomes difficult for women with long nails to operate the touchscreen. 10.4 million women now use SmartPhones, a number that has more than doubled since last year, making females the fastest growing segment of users of these devices by far. So what can Apple do about their “fingernail problem?” Some consumers have demanded a stylus attachment for the iPhone, but others argue that ...
The Samsung Instinct is a sleek phone with an easy to use touchscreen technology that plays music and allows you to connect to the Internet... sounds a lot like a certain Apple device we all know and love. But is the Samsung Instinct an iPhone killer? The Instinct's design, which is very much inspired by the iPhone, is great lookng in it's own right, and the touchscreen works as easily as the Apple device. The Email app works great, and has all the major email providers preconfigured so you can just log right in to your account. Web Apps work great, offering preset News, Sports, and Weather updates. The Instinct features some of the best GPS Navigation available on any cellular, and you can even use voice command to control the phone, a feature the iPhone doesn't include. Unlike the iPhone, the Instinct does offer a video camera, though picture quality for motion and still photography is nothing to write home about. Touch typing works the same way as the iPhone does, and the music player works well ...

Rollinia is a genus in the family Annonaceae. While it is widely recognised as a distinct genus a recent monograph advocates its inclusion in Annona[1], which also contains custard apples and soursops. Sometimes called biriba, species of Rollinia are tropical trees that bear round, yellow fruit. They need a warm and humid climate to grow well.
Not all fruits produced by this family are edible, but Rollinia deliciosa is. The flavor of the fruit is described as similar to that of apple custard or lemon meringue pie. Ripe fruit is very soft and easily bruised. The fruit cannot be stored for long periods of time. It is usually eaten fresh, but Brazilians use it to make wine.

Some of the world's best known brands have begun embracing social networking in hopes of reaching a young, Internet-savvy audience, says Peter Friedman, CEO of LiveWorld, which creates and manages private-label social networks for large companies including A&E Television Networks, Campbell Soup Co. [CPB] and Kraft Foods Inc. [KFT].
"Many companies are adding more social networking activities," Friedman tells Tech Confidential in our Behind the Money video interview. "Our business is all about helping major brands market through the use of social networking."
LiveWorld recently released LiveBar, a new product that provides commenting capabilities reminiscent of Twitter Inc.'s microblogging service. Tulane University is one of the first to use LiveBar.
Friedman has been developing social networking services since the mid-1980s when he was the general manager of Apple Inc.'s [AAPL] online business unit. He founded LiveWorld [LVWD.PK] in 1996. He's seen a lot of changes during the past 20-plus ...

Examples include Netflix, Sony Bravia, Amazon.com, Apple TV, and TiVo. In this video we demonstrate how it is done with TiVo and Amazon.com.
