Directed by Ryan Phillips and Josh Guillaume Produced by The Paradise Collective @prdscollective The concept of the video for Evolve, an EDM based song from the German producers Davenstedt & Axel Coon, is in itself a representation of the visceral, edgy style that has become expected with the videos produced by the group of filmmakers known as The Paradise Collective. Evolve is a distorted look into the life of a secret Hollywood society that hosts exclusive parties in the hills above Los Angeles. The catch to gain entry to these private gatherings? You must bring something with you. Not a bottle of wine, not flowers, but a human offering. The psychopaths in the video are stalking and capturing these people to be their offerings and entry cards in to the party. Played by none other than the directors, Ryan Phillips and Josh Guillaume, and another Paradise member, William Golladay, the looks we get into this twisted, bloodlust society are incredibly raw and thats no understatement. "I was whipping myself and bleeding so bad after we had finally gotten the shot", said Ryan during a post-production viewing of the final cut. The party scene was meant to be more exclusive, like a blood thirsty established society with lots of society regulars there to view the chaos. The lights in the video were causing everyone on set and acting in the video headaches. "That aspect really got us into character and made us all lose our minds a little bit". The Paradise Collective isn't out to direct the next Disney Channel original movie, which is surprising considering Josh's decision to keep the video content more PG-13 than R. "We want to be those guys you go to when you're looking for hip, modern videos with fast cuts and progressive imagery that is becoming more and more popular every year." Recent works of the Collective conjure images from Rihanna's "We Found Love" video or even Taylor Swift's video for "Style".
I’m going to start off by saying that the game play in this montage is awful. Straight up, I have some garbage clips, so let’s get that out of the way early. I’m not the type of person that makes temporary accounts, then goes into multi team or some other social playlist to rack up Killionaires on bad kids. That’s not my style. I play to win and I am not a flashy player; I don’t get much “cut-worthy” footage, and the stuff I do get is passable at best. But if you can look past that, and watch this video for what it is, I think you will enjoy it. I make montages to entertain myself and hopefully, a few other people will feel the same type of way. I know there are many times when the clips could have been synced better to the music and the transitions could have been smoother. But I think that with each video I release, my skills as an editor improve slightly, I only hope others can see that and agree. This video is called Paradise Lost because originally, it was meant to represent what we as a community had lost in our youth playing XBL with our friends. However, when the MCC was announced, I tried changing the theme halfway through and that turned out to be a horrible plan. This montage was originally going to be 22+ minutes in length, however I did not have a sufficient and decent amount of clips to make that happen. So a good portion of this video was cut out, and that’s why nothing is going to make sense. On top of all that, my 360 broke about a month ago so I couldn't cap the angles I wanted to use. The concept, story, and idea I had wanted in the beginning did not come into fruition but I am still happy with the final product. Although I thought about scrapping the whole thing many times, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I love the process too much. Playing, recording, and editing are things I genuinely enjoy doing. I have passion for Halo and take pride in my work. And I hope you guys can see that in this video.
In the tragic history of maltreated cinema, I can think of no worse example than the 1994 film by Bill Forsyth, “Being Human”. The director of “Gregory’s Girl” and “Local Hero” wrote a fantastic screenplay about the gentle soul of a simple man’s journey thru the ages, seeking happiness, love, and peace. Unfortunately, the vapid suits at Warner Brothers (already infamous in my eyes for their quashing of George Romero’s “The Stand”, the screenplay of which is also available for viewing on this site) didn’t understand his vision, so they forced him to slash over 40 minutes from his final cut, and to add one of the worst narration tracks ever (by Theresa Russell) in a pathetic attempt to explain to the audience what they felt was necessary to keep them tuned in and “understanding” what was going on. This faux narration completely ruins the theatrical print of the film: it’s like having a really irritating, mentally unbalanced woman sitting next to you in the theatre, talking happily back to the screen, until you want to take your popcorn box and shove it down her throat to keep her quiet. Forsyth rightly disowned the film, which got almost universally negative reviews, and with the exception of a little known “sequel” to “Gregory’s Girl” in 1999, he never made another film, because of his deep disillusionment due to his bad treatment over “Being Human”. This is a "fan edit" created by Stephen Dorian Kutos, which removes all of the terrible narration from the soundtrack, bringing the film much closer to Forsyth's original vision, and it improves the film's quality immeasurably.

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION: In the wake of Zack and Lyndsey's confession the night before, June seeks marriage advice from her sister and brother-in-law. Rosalinda learns about Elliott's ex-girlfriend. The Fallout have their big concert at the beach. All is well - until law enforcement gets involved! I apologize for parts of this episode not being super polished. I only had 4 days to film the entire thing. I filmed this on my main computer, but had to edit on a computer at school using Final Cut X, which gave me some problems (i.e.- the red/green/blue things that randomly appear). Thank you all for sticking with me although I don't post videos as often as I used to. That will all change soon, hopefully. I hope you have as much fun watching this episode as I did making it. It's been a crazy ride. Some of the characters/sets look different. I was able to salvage some of them, but others were remade from scratch. I was messing around with Final Cut Pro & added the filters Rotated Tile (fourfold) and LiveToon and this was the product. It looks like one of those semi-ordinary tablecloth patterns people use in stalls and covering glass windows :D

At one point there I realized it resembles the Nazi swastika somewhere (or just the ordinary swastika, I forgot)

As an intern at Service Electric TV 2 Sports, I have attended many different sporting events in the Lehigh Valley. At each one, I have gotten the opportunity to interview players and coaches to get more experience. I have also practiced being on-camera by doing standups at each of the different events. I have learned how to edit and create a story using Final Cut Pro. This video is just a sample of what I have learned...enjoy!
“Alone With Patty” is a short film that was shot on March 27th, 2012. We were asked to speak at an Art Gallery (Art4Vision (http://www.art4vision.org), a local gallery in Fort Lauderdale Florida and show some of our work. But we didn’t want to show anything old, so were challenge to make a film in just a few days. As we looked at our schedule we realized we only actually had one day to make the film. So “Alone With Patty” was shot in 6 hours. From 8pm-2am on Tuesday The film stars Josiah Sampson (William) and Christal Mancari (Patty) and is about the worst five days in Williams life. It is an indie art house film which awkwardly and comedically reveals the rise and fall of a perfect relationship. Music: Music is such an important part in the process for us. And we are so thankful to be surrounded by really talented artists here in Fort Lauderdale. Josiah Sampson (of the indie rock band Kids, www.longlivedthekids.com) scored the film and provide one of his original song “Exist” to be used in the main montage of the film. Ryan Alexander (of Civilian www.facebook.com/civiliansounds) also release his song “Nothing You Want To Wake Up Next To” to be in the film as well. Nerd Talk: The film was shot on two Canon EOS 7D with all natural light, and the post was done on an Apple Workflow. High Tension (French: Haute tension, French pronunciation: [ot tɑ̃sjɔ̃]; released in the UK as Switchblade Romance) is a 2003 French horror film that was later released in 2004 in the UK and 2005 in the US and Canada. The film, directed by Alexandre Aja, stars Cécile de France, Maïwenn, and Philippe Nahon. High Tension was picked up by independent distributor Lions Gate Entertainment following a successful screening at the Midnight Madness section of the 2003 Toronto International Film Festival. Originally rated NC-17 in the U.S. for strong graphic violence, a few graphic shots were cut from the final version of the U.S. release to get it down to the R rating (the original NC-17 cut was released in some theaters), and the film was dubbed for commercial appeal. However, the original cut (referred to as an unrated version) is available on Blu-ray and DVD. All of the effects are created by renowned horror make-up artist Giannetto De Rossi, a favorite of late director Lucio Fulci.[3] High Tension has been associated with the New French Extremity movement.

Here is Andrea Ward's participation in the 2012 Olympic Trials in Omaha. Couple of things to note..
1. Yellow lettering behind national anthem singers is projected onto a stream of water falling... Kinda a cool effect... Also during Dana Volmer's award ceremony.
2. Andrea is in Lane 0, Top of screen. She is terribly ill just before her swim... Strep.. On antibiotics and immodium just before her race. She got onto antibiotics the day before by the USA swimming resident doctor. She had no practice since Saturday and had only eaten a little soup... She decided to be a toughie and swim it anyway, even though weak and sick. Note where she comes out after her turn.
3. After her swim video you will see a screen showing that she moved from her seed of 137th to 106th. Pretty good for being so weakened.
4. After that screen... video goes black and you may be are asking, "BTW.. Who won?"... so I show you Dana Volmer's race to answer that question.
(PS... This is my first project with Final Cut X on a Mac, so please forgive any poor editing.) This video features Fred Stumph's excellent video footage.
