Keita Kawahira ist der Nachfahre einer Familie mit einer langen Tradition von Inukami Kontraktern. Da seine Fähigkeiten jedoch nur sehr gering verglichen mit dem Rest seiner Familie sind, wird er von dieser verstoßen und muss sich seinen Weg durchs Leben alleine bannen.
Doch er hat Glück im Unglück. Die wunderschöne Inukami, Youko, welche sehr mächtige Kräfte besitzt, will einen Kontrakt mit ihm schließen. Was Keita jedoch nicht weiß ist, dass sie eine besonders schwierige Inukami ist und bisher niemandem gehorchen wollte. So also schließen die beiden einen Kontrakt aber nur unter der Bedingung, dass er Youko für immer gehorchen und alle ihre Wünsche erfüllen muss.
Hätte er sich das bloß vorher besser überlegt. Denn Youko entpuppt sich als sehr eifersüchtig und schreckt vor nichts zurück um Keita an sich zu binden. Dabei erweisen sich ihre starken Kräfte und ihre Zerstörungswut als äusserst hilfreich.
