Lillis kleiner Bruder Leon hat eine schwere Erkältung und hält schon seit Tagen die Familie auf Trab. Deshalb reist Lilli mit ihrem Drachen Hektor in den Regenwald, denn dort soll gegen jede Krankheit ein Kraut gewachsen sein. Doch bevor Lilli auf Kräutersuche gehen kann, wird sie fast von einem Bulldozer überfahren und lernt das Eingeborenenmädchen Alana kennen. Alana klagt Lilli ihr Leid: Weiße Männer wollen alle Bäume fällen und Alanas Stamm aus ihrem Dorf vertreiben. Lilli fackelt nicht lang und verzaubert die Bulldozer so, dass sie nicht mehr fahren können. Doch dann steht da plötzlich ein Medizinmann und will Alanas Leute aus dem Dorf locken. Lilli erkennt sofort: Der Medizinmann ist nicht echt. Das muss eine Falle der Regenwaldabholzer sein! So macht sich Lilli auf die Suche nach dem echten Medizinmann, der irgendwo versteckt gehalten wird. Kann sie ihn rechtzeitig finden, bevor der Stamm das Dorf verlässt?
Lilli hat einen spannenden Film über Wikinger gesehen und zaubert sich mit Drache Hektor ins Zeitalter der Normannen. Dummerweise platzt dabei Lillis kleiner Bruder Leon ins Zimmer und reist unfreiwillig mit. Um Leon nicht zu erschrecken, redet Lilli ihm ein, dass er alles nur träumt. Als plötzlich ein paar finstere Wikinger vor ihnen stehen, hat Leon eine große Klappe. Es ist ja alles nur ein Traum! So viel Mut beeindruckt die Wikinger. Als sie zum nächsten Beutezug aufbrechen, darf Leon als Ehrengast mitfahren. Lilli dagegen kommt als Sklavin an Bord und muss die schmutzige Wäsche waschen. Das stinkt Lilli natürlich gewaltig. Doch in der Nacht erwischt sie den Anführer der Wikinger beim Baden und erkennt: Der Wikinger ist eine verkleidete Frau! Und das bleibt nicht die einzige Überraschung.
