Its all been replaced with corporations, condos, galleries filled with mediocrity and a profound lack of diversity, tolerance and equality. However, back in the mid 1990's something special was brewing in New York and places like the Limelight, The Tunnel and Webster Hall were the 90's Studio 54, they were exciting places where anything could happen. TANGA with his friends, various musicians throughout the world contributed their talent to create the charity song entitled “All I Want For A Christmas Day,” to reach out to those affected with AIDS in Kenya through the non-profit organization, “ILFAR” (The Inada-Lange Foundation for AIDS Research) established in 1993. ILFAR, based in New York, annually travels to Kenya to give medical support to those in need of treatment.
“All I Want For A Christmas Day” was originally written by TANGA and its lyrics were written by TANGA and RUN (U.S.). The participating musicians are Daniel Baeder (Brazil), Bruno Coppini (Brazil), Roger Fife (U.K.) and Ken (Japan). The recordings were done in Sao Paolo, New York, Tokyo and London in 2008.
