Shot in Hi-Definition and Super 16mm, The Big Swell follows the life-cycle of a massive winter swell. Told through the words of renowned surfers and marine forecasters we follow the swell from its birth in the heart of a violent storm in the North Pacific through to its death throes in the form of giant waves breaking at the notorious âMavericksâ surf break in Northern California.

Die Katze ist die beste Häklerin weit und breit und findet bald Arbeit als Werbe-Häklerin. Anfangs ist das ein großer Erfolg. Aber dann ist im Städtchen Stackeln an der Kruke alles gehäkelt, was gehäkelt werden kann und das Geschäft geht schlecht. Direktor Maulwisch, dem das Haus Nr. 17 gehört, ist wütend. Er hat immer noch keinen Pfennig Miete bekommen. Da wird plötzlich die Vermutung geäußert, im Keller könnte ein Schatz vergraben sein. Im Haus beginnt hektisches Treiben. Zwei Erfinder, die Gebrüder Erbsenstein, entwickeln eine Schatzsuchmaschine. Eine mühsame, tagelange Suchaktion wird gestartet.

Les compléments alimentaires ont envahi les rayons des magasins et parapharmacies. Considérés comme la nouvelle potion magique anti-carences, ils ont séduit un Français sur quatre, dont une grande majorité de femmes. Mais les vertus de ces produits sont remises en question. Deux chercheuses toulousaines ont révélé d'importantes fraudes chez deux familles de compléments alimentaires : les amaigrissants et les aphrodisiaques. Certains, pourtant déclarés comme entièrement naturels, sont faits de mélanges de médicaments et de composés organiques. Des composants ont même été retirés du marché à cause d'effets secondaires dangereux.
