The concept car, called the Chevrolet Volt, is a battery-powered electric vehicle that uses a gas engine to create additional electricity, thereby extending its range. The Volt can be fully charged by plugging it into a 110-volt outlet for approximately six hours each day. When the lithium-ion battery is fully charged, the Volt can deliver 40 city miles of pure electric vehicle range.

However, starting January 16th, 2007, millions of taxpayers will have access to a completely free service when it comes to filing their federal tax returns. Those individuals who earn $52,000 or less will be able to file their taxes for free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from any computer that has Internet access. It's called Free File and it provides online tax preparation and electronic filing through a partnership agreement between the IRS and the Free File Alliance, a coalition of tax preparation companies.
Massive Avalanche - Mt. Ruepehu
The avalanche was triggered during avalanche control work in September, 2003 on the Mangaehuehu Glacier, which is right beside the Mt. Ruepehu ski area in New Zealand. The Mangaehuehu Glacier is a favourite out of area ski run.
