"Winemaking Contest": In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," our challengers arrive at Sunset Hills Vineyard, just outside Purcellville. Less than an hour west of Washington, D.C., Loudoun is known as DC's Wine Country, and is the home of 30 wineries and tasting rooms, and wine is an important part of the Loudoun tourism experience. They meet two Loudoun winemakers, Lori Corcoran of Corcoran Vineyards, and Nate Walsh of Sunset Hills, who give them an overview their wineries and of Loudoun's wine country. Sustainable agriculture and collaboration are two concepts that drive the Loudoun wine experience and are helping to establish Loudoun as the wine country to experience on the East Coast. The competition today for our challengers is to create their own unique blend of wine using three popular Loudoun varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. They'll be judged on three criteria: taste, bottle presentation, and accuracy and creativity of their presentation of their wine to a Loudoun sommelier. But, they'll only have 15 minutes to create their wine, label and their presentation, so they'll have to work fast. With Lori assisting James and Jolyn, and Nate guiding Haley and Andrew, watch to see which team toasts success. "Whitewater & Moonshine Race": In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," our challengers find themselves on the banks of the Potomac River where they meet Isaac, a guide from BTI Whitewater. Located in Loudoun Heights near Harpers Ferry, BTI offers guided whitewater rafting excursions, canoe trips, and tubing down the Potomac River. Our cast breaks up into two teams, Jolyn and James and Haley and Andrew, and race head-to-head down the Potomac, along the historic C&O Canal, and past historic Harpers Ferry, West Virginia, over class two and three rapids. Once down the river, the teams disembark and head up the mountain to the ruins of a historic estate that once housed and operated a moonshine still. There, they must solve a riddle and find something hidden in the ruins. The first team to solve the riddle, find the hidden object, and bring it to Blake wins. So, what are you waiting for? Get Lost! "Culinary Cook-Off": This week the "Get Lost in Loudoun" crew finds itself just outside Middleburg, Virginia, at the beautiful and scenic Goodstone Inn and Restaurant. The historic 265-acre property was established in 1768 and offers luxurious accommodations in six historic homes and structures, a spa, scenic rolling hills, and a restaurant. Led by the award-winning Chef William Walden, the restaurant has a farm-to-table philosophy. As Chef Walden says, "Whatever is growing, we cook it." The challenge presented to the two teams during this episode is to create a main course which will be judged by a panel of local food experts. James and Jolyn and Andrew and Haley must head to the garden to select their ingredients and then bring them back to the kitchen where they will prepare their food under Chef Walden's guidance. Things move fast and furious as they get to work. Watch as our challengers race from farmer-to-chef to create their farm-to-table masterpieces. Bon Apetit! "Haunted Hunt": In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," Andrew, Haley, and Jolyn get lost at Oatlands Plantation, a historic house and formal gardens south of Leesburg, Virginia. The challengers meet Blake in front of the mansion, and are introduced to Kirsten Edwards, curator of collections and education, who gives them a brief introduction to the historical significance of the estate. But our Get Lost crew isn't here for a history tour. It seems there have been some reports of strange happenings going on in the house. Enter paranormal researcher Max Ryan of PEPPR, or Partnership for Exploration of Paranormal Phenomenon and Research, which studies the scientific "whys" and "hows" behind this type of activity. Max plays some of the spooky recordings he has done with PEPPR at Oatlands. The challenge the cast faces during this episode is a search for three parts of a riddle associated with paranormal activity in the house. But this time, each challenger will be competing individually (i.e. alone!). And to make it even spookier, they aren't allowed to start until it gets dark outside. Who knows what awaits them inside this two-hundred-year-old house as they explore the main level, upstairs, and creepy basement? When they're finished, they're led outside to the dark gardens and asked to reveal the answers to the riddle. Please note: Only three of our cast members participated in this episode. (Maybe James was behind the strange goings-on in the house... there was a Scooby Doo episode like that once!) "When Pigs Fly": In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," Andrew, Haley, Jolyn, and James get lost in Bluemont in Western Loudoun, and turn up at Great Country Farms, a working 200-acre you-pick fruit and vegetable farm. Starting off with the required "yee-haw!" our challengers learn this competition won't be just a day in the country. It'll be boys versus girls again, and they'll be racing against the clock on a course set up around the farm -- from digging for worms in compost, then peddling their farm bikes to a rope maze, then catching a chicken, kissing Elmer the pig, and then climbing "rubber ridge," the mountain made of tractor tires, where they'll tie their bandanas on to stop the clock. The team that completes the course the fastest wins. Now, if they can just catch that pig they'll be good to go, but as one team discovers, pigs CAN fly. So, get lost and get dirty! Yee-haw! (And no animals or kissing pigs were harmed in the making of this video, just egos.) "Throwing Pottery": In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," our challengers Andrew, Haley, Jolyn, and James find themselves at Glenfiddich Farm Pottery just outside Leesburg, Virginia. Founded in 1840, this farm-turned-home is also the studio and gallery of artist Richard Busch, who opens the studio during weekend events and sales when visitors can find that one-of-a-kind gift or present. Our "Get Lost" challengers, in two teams -- girls versus guys, must create a piece of pottery that will complement the piece made by their teammate. It's "no experience necessary" for our challengers, who let their creative juices fly as they "throw" their clay and race to produce their pieces on the wheels. But they won't have to go it alone, as we've arranged for a special expert coach to guide them through their creations -- Washington Redskins' tight end Chris Cooley! While it may seem unusual for a professional athlete to also be a potter, Cooley studied art at Utah State University and today owns his own studio and gallery, The Cooley Gallery, in historic Downtown Leesburg. Watch to see what our challengers create under the direction of Coach Cooley in this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun." Oh, and don't miss Blake's self-sculpture! In this episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun," we meet our challengers. Andrew, Haley, Jolyn, and James are all looking for an escape -- from the city, from routine, from technology, and from the day-to-day grind. They need some adventure in their lives. To get away, they find themselves in Loudoun County, Virginia, and on the scenic Appalachian Trail where they meet Blake, our host and their guide, who introduces them to the excitement and challenges they'll face as they "Get Lost"! From there, they head to Pev's Paintball in Aldie, one of the largest paintball parks in the country with twelve different playing fields. Mike "Pev" Peverill, the owner of Pev's, gives them the scoop on the park and what they'll be facing. Then its combat time! The challengers find themselves at the "fort course," a series of walls, huts, and windows where danger could lurk around every corner. Its 2-versus-2 in this shoot out to see who will raise their flag first. Watch and see who end up victorious on this premiere episode of "Get Lost in Loudoun." Rescued Nation TV - Full episode - Rescued Nation TV - Full Episode - "Reporting on Rescued Events". Hosted by Shawn A. Ward and Hernandes Union. Guest Star - Haley Broom. Director / Executive Producer - Bryan Kreutz. Original Air date May 24, 2011 on the Christian Television Network and God's Stations television Network. Host Shawn A. Ward asks Hernandes and the viewers why are we as Generation X acting so crazy in the world today by not disciplining our children. Growing up Shawn states he remembers growing up how parents used to pray for each other and also getting a whipping by his next door neighbors parents for getting in some trouble. When Rescued Nation's group titled Operation go get 'em went out on the street ministry at the Central West end (St.Louis) we met a homosexual and that he said "I want to come to church, I want to be apart of the ministry, I want to sing in the choir, but every time I come everybody always looks at me, they judge me, they talk about me then when I leave I feel worse than I felt when I first came in". Shawn A. Ward goes on to say that sometimes in the house of God we can be so judge-mental not understanding the generation. Now we are dealing with a whole different type of generation. When we were growing up younger in church homosexuals would hide themselves, we wouldn't know who the fornicators were, we wouldn't know those who were using drugs but now in the house of God we know because they expose it widely they open it up and don't care anymore wearing it like a garment. Well it's time now for us to stop hurting our generation, our young people and our young adults and start dealing with them where their at right now. At the Fresh Fire event with Eddie James ministries in Carmi, Illinois an interview with Haley Broom speaks about how she was changed as an extremist notably a homosexual and restored into a new woman in Christ.
