In the early 1990's my career was inspired and motivated by music video's, directors like David Fincher and Samuel Bayer. But one director who I believe broke the mold is Mark Romanek. Along the way, the Grammy winner has been behind some of the world's most famous--and infamous--videos. On the groundbreaking side, there's Lenny Kravitz's exhilarating "Are You Gonna Go My Way," which made the musician a star in one fell swoop. On the controversial side, there's Fiona Apple's teasing "Criminal," Jay-Z's apocalyptic "99 Problems and "Nine Inch Nails' macabre "Closer," It is one of only two that the Museum of Modern Art has added to its permanent collection. This is a music video we did for the Los Angeles Native Strict Intent. We shot the entire thing with our RED One Camera both on Green Screen and on location. We used The RED 18-50 lens for the shoot and did a lot of post production editing in Final Cut Pro, After Effects and Apple Color. There are a couple parts where the action is stobing as Strict is walking down the street. We did that by taking multiple long exposure stills of the city at night with a Nikon still camera and compositing them in as a picture sequence in After Effects. We ran the camera as high as 640 ISO and we were still able to pull a key at some points in the rain footage. The Red One footage turned out great and we are very happy with the music video.

Here is the Xgliders spot that aired on Nickelodeon Nationwide. We shot the spot entirely with our RED One Camera. The Xgliders are also in all of the Toys R Us' with Ian's picture on the box. (Ian McAleece is the main skater and one of our cameramen) In addition to shooting the commercial on our RED One we also handled the still photography for the project. We didn't do the graphic design and packaging for the box but there are some other pictures we shot too. The graphics for the commercial were done in After Effects and the footage was graded in Apple Color. The 3D animation at the beginning was done in 3DS Max. On our RED ONE camera we used the RED 300mm lens, the RED 18-50mm lens and a Nikon 8mm fisheye. It was a great shoot and the use of the RED One camera really opened up a lot of doors for us since we did a lot of run-n-gun shooting in high profile San Francisco film production areas with and without permits.

Pavone, and “When you think about it, Evil is the absence of something good, or the corruption of something good. You can’t have a bad apple, a rotten apple unless you first have something good, which is an apple…And so it is with abortion, it’s a lack; it’s a corruption of something good. Here we have a mother carrying a child and now forces are working on her mind and on her heart to put her into such fear and despair that she is tempted to kill her child.” “The prayer to end abortion is in part a prayer that grace will come to her (the mother) that will counteract the things that are pulling her in that wrong direction,” continues Fr. Pavone, “and maybe as a result of that prayer the grace will be that someone speaks up…or that she sees an ultrasound of her baby, or that she suddenly gets an insight that she’s not always going to feel the way she feels today.” And concluding Fr. Pavone says “As we pray to end abortion, we pray very specifically, very deliberately for those mothers that they may be delivered from despair.”

Note: This is much more clear on ipad, iphone or itouch than in this video! I Scott C. Waring, author of UFO Sightings of 2006-2009 have written about this in my book. This is actually an Apple app for iphone, itouch & ipad. I used the app called "MoonMapPro." This app has genuine Lunar Orbiter images directly from NASA archives. The cool thing about these photos is that they were taken before photoshop so their techniques of covering up items had not yet been perfected. In these photos they actually appear to be raw and untouched by the NASA airbrushing room. These are long black structures and often they curve into or around the craters and mold into the ground. This is definitive proof that they are real structures and they are really there on the moon. Who made them and how they made them, we can only guess at. The names of the craters and the degrees of longitude and latitude are included in the app which makes location of the structures much easier to determine.
