Today Morgan's BMW F800GS went in for its first service since leaving HK on 1 March. Being bike-less left Morgan feeling glum. However his mood was quickly resurrected by the generous offer of Derek van Pelt from Siam Wheels to spend the afternoon tearing around Bangkok on the world's #1 superbike - the BMW S1000RR. Derek, Alan and Siren Films Director Ed Bean joined in the adrenaline-pumping action. We are told the afternoon's footage, captured by award-winning documentary cinematographer Grant Douglas, was spectacular. We will have to wait for the Wheel2Wheel television broadcast in late 2011 to see!
Where does it begin and where does it end? Well, we know it all started in 1923 with the BMW R32. Decades later, BMW is officially in the superbike segment with its S 1000 RR performance bike. Sergio Carvajal, product manager for BMW Motorrad USA, outlines the intimate details and sophistication of the German 2-wheeler including its 193 horsepower and various ride modes.

Check out this bad ass S 1000 RR from BMW! This is the most powerful 1000cc production bike ever! It weighs about 204kg (fully fueled) and produced 193 horsepower! It looks soooo awesome! I really wanted to try riding it at the launching event! It was so tempting!!! Anyway, I was told that it has the DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and integrated ABS system. Pretty bad ass, huh? My boyfriend would kill to get this superbike! LOL
