No Christian can circumcise. The whole point of Christianity was that Jesus was the last blood sacrifice and instead of humans sacrificing to God as they had been, it was vice versa. Multiple times in the New Testament show that circumcision is forbidden. Christians who circumcise need to read Galatians.
I say a few negative things about John Piper on this channel, but a viewer recently sent me this great John Piper sermon, which really inspired me, and so I wanted to share it with you too. It's over 10 years old, and more recent sermons from John Piper indicate that we definitely do NOT see eye to eye on what Jesus taught about such things as forsaking all. But it was refreshing to see Piper giving such well thought-out reasons for why the prosperity gospel is abomination in Christianity today. Check it out, and let me know what you think.
A 2020 documentary called 'We Need To Talk About AI' offers a sobering glimpse at where the world is headed in terms of frightening new technologies and artificial intelligence. The experts themselves are quite clear about the fact that these advancements in technology could mark the end of the human race... but they see nothing wrong with that. In fact, some of them are hoping for this eventuality. Christians want to know if this is something to be concerned about. What role does AI play in Bible prophecy?
The entire world is eagerly awaiting the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem. The Bible predicts that it will happen... and it may not be far away. For some, this event will be a wonderful confirmation that God's chosen people are the Jews, and that his holy city is Jerusalem, over there in Israel. But for others, the third temple will be seen as a testimony to how far the human race has strayed from God, and it will also be the start of great suffering for many who claim to follow Jesus Christ. What do you think this Jewish temple represents? Watch this video, before you make up your mind.
I recently listened to an Elevation Church sermon by Robert Madu. It was a sermon about pride, and in it, Robert makes some really excellent points. When it was over, I felt inspired to write this "sermon review", so that I could highlight some of those great points that Robert made... but also so that I could provide a bit of critical feedback. Between Robert's sermon and my review here, I hope that you can walk away with some lessons that will help to change your life for the better.
Have you ever been told that we need to "rightly divide the word of truth"? People often quote this instruction from Paul when they want to use one part of the Bible to contradict another part they don't like. This error has crept in because people assume that "the word of truth" is the Bible, and that Paul's instruction to "study to show yourself approved unto God" is also teaching us to study the Bible. In this video, we'll show you how Paul wasn't talking about the Bible at all. Once you understand that, you will discover a radical new way to study the Word of God.
In the Revelation, we read about 144,000 people who represent God's end time Church. Well, we do seem to be getting closer to the events described in the book of Revelation... so who are the 144,000? And WHERE are they? Our community has spent three decades looking, and it's been a bit disappointing, to be honest. We can hardly find ONE person who wants to "follow the Lamb wherever he goes". But more recently, we have started to consider that this supernatural coming together of God's people.. the Bride of Christ in Revelation... may happen in a radically different way. Watch this video to learn more!
Bible prophecy is a complex subject for a lot of people... but it doesn't need to be. There's actually a very simple way to interpret prophecies in the Revelation, but this way has been left out of almost every sermon on prophecy, and for this reason, prophetic teachings in lukewarm Christianity are putting people in exactly the right place to go to hell. Why is this happening? Why won't preachers teach Bible prophecy the RIGHT way? Watch this video to find out.
Is God all-loving? We're told that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, but why should we be asked to "fear" someone who apparently loves us so much? And is pain and suffering in life consistent with the idea that God loves us? It takes wisdom to answer these questions, but if you will sincerely seek the answers, you will discover true love in this life... and the next.
What is happening in the US? So much of the population appears to be going insane! They promote conspiracy theories and bluff their way through false prophecies, and it's all done in the name of God... or more accurately, right-wing American evangelicalism. In late 2020, these false prophets promised that Donald Trump would be re-elected as president. You don't need to be a theologian to see how wrong the most popular preachers in America were, but can you believe they're STILL bluffing... even after Donald Trump lost?! We've packed just a few of the lies and self-righteousness into a 20 minute video, so you can see for yourself just what a sham American Christianity has become. Come out of her, my people!
People are becoming more aware of a looming threat to our world. Catastrophes such as climate change, pandemics, and abuses of power are already causing great suffering to millions of people. How do we get God's protection in these troubling times? And what can we do to prepare for even worse times, and the Great Tribulation spoken of in Bible prophecy. This video provides the answer... if you're willing to hear it.
One of the biggest distractions in Christianity today is the teaching that you need to know how to say Jesus' name perfectly. You've probably heard names like Yeshua, Yehoshua, and Yahshua as some examples of the supposedly "correct" way to say Jesus' name, but how do you know which name is the one Jesus would have actually used 2000 years ago? And does it even matter? All of the arguments used to support the "correct name" teaching are silly at best, and downright distractions at worst. This video exposes this whole ridiculous distraction for what it is, and helps you to see what the REAL meaning behind Jesus' name is.
Live out the sermon on the mount and learn how to practice the Golden Rule. Through the teachings of Jesus, we can literally save a life. Doing so, may not be as far fetched as imagined. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you is given a radical application in this video. Religious orthodoxy puts a lot of faith in theology to identify who we can trust, but Voice digs deeper than "Lord, Lord Christianity” to find the Kingdom of Heaven gospel which Jesus actually preached. He identifies the single most impossible teaching of Jesus as the only one that can reliably identify those who work for God and not for themselves. Jesus and Religion don't mix. Fake pastors have left out the Cornerstone, which is the teachings of Jesus. Jesus warned us about hypocritical religious leaders causing a problem with the church. So, if it's REAL Christianity you want, you better get serious about studying and acting on the words of Jesus Christ, the only perfect leader. This is video #4 in the Teachings of Jesus Series. Society places a lot of emphasis on being respectable. So long as you are respectable, you will be treated to the best foods, accommodation, titles, clothing, etc. Modern Christianity supports this same lifestyle, but few people know (or care) that Jesus taught precisely AGAINST this form of respectability. Do you care enough to know what Jesus said about being respectable? And are you willing to make the sort of changes to your life in order to be less respectable, and more Christ-like?
Are We Building Just Another Human Kingdom?' assumes we all share the same problem - our tendency to build religious organisations to the point that they actually distract us from Jesus. The video asks some important questions, like: Have we become too busy for Jesus? and are we listening to God? Just because we talk about God doesn't prove we are really following him or helping to build the invisible kingdom of heaven. Is it possible you're involved in building a false (Antichrist) kingdom? If so, isn't it time to listen to God and do what he says?
What did Jesus really say about money? Should Christians obey the laws of the land? 'Great Sermon About What Jesus Really Said About Money' unravels what Jesus said about materialism. The video also explores passages from Matthew chapter 17 and Matthew chapter 22 which touch on what Jesus said about paying tax, unraveling the full context of when he said "Render unto Caesar...". The video asks the question: Who are you loyal to? God or Caesar? Is it time to confront the root of all evil in your life?
Obeying the Gospel of Christ was a given in the early days of Christianity. Grace was understood to be given to those who showed obedience to the faith taught to them by Jesus Christ. So, why is 'obey' now a dirty word?
Today many Christians use the teachings of Paul to justify a life of selfish indifference to almost any teaching or discipline that Jesus taught. But did Paul really teach that obeying the Gospel was not necessary? Is faith, without obedience, the kind of faith that results in God's forgiveness?
This video presents some of what Paul taught in the book of Romans about the relationship between faith, grace, obedience and forgiveness. There is enough information presented here to give anyone a good head start in examining the issue for themselves in greater depth, to hopefully arrive at a deeper appreciation for an obedient faith.
The Greta Thunberg Speech at the UN in September 2019 has inspired this young woman to offer her own message to religious leaders around the world...false religious leaders who have taken the name of Jesus in vain and promoted their own selfish kingdoms instead of the kingdom of heaven that Jesus preached. This is a warning to Christians as well as to the many false prophets of Christianity. Are you prepared for the return of Jesus? Judgement is coming, and if you hope to be counted as one of his followers, you will need a lot more than just TALK of faith in Jesus.
All the Christian denominations in the world have some doctrine that they hold up as the most important Christian teaching. This is their hobby-horse. Most of the differences between Christian churches can be shown by a single theological belief or tradition, which they say is a fundamental doctrine of Christianity that all of the other churches have missed. Is A Voice in the Desert guilty of playing the same shallow game? Well, yes...but as I explain in this video, there is one thing about MY hobby-horse which really does set me above all the rest.
The destruction of the US is something we have mentioned briefly on this channel, and although the need to get out of Babylon (in a spiritual sense) is an extremely important Christian principle, we think it's important for all of us to start taking the literal fall of America seriously, in light of world events, as well as the growing problem of lukewarm Christianity that pervades this nation. May this prophetic video be the warning you need to leave the USA and all that she represents.
Continuing the Bible study on the Gospel of Mark, chapter 4 of Mark's gospel speaks of the mysterious Kingdom of Heaven and how it grows. Being a part of Christ's Kingdom is not a call to go to church, study theology or develop religious traditions. It's a call to a radically altered life. The early disciples literally left everything to follow Jesus. They showed the world what the kingdom of heaven was like through this living faith.
You too can demonstrate the Kingdom of Heaven through fulfilling the Great Commission, and preaching the gospel to every creature, faithfully letting your light shine as we face persecution and rejection in an unbelieving world.
This channel talks a lot about the teachings of Jesus...the real Jesus of the four gospels. But if Jesus was the right-wing American Christian that so many people believe him to be, what would he say? This video (from Friend Dog Studios) does a good job of illustrating what a greedy, capitalist Jesus would say, if he had ever existed. Listen to how badly the words of Christ would need to be twisted to support the sort of Christianity that American capitalism represents. Do you feel okay with this distorted representation of what Jesus said in the Bible?
Do we have to go to church every Sunday? This is one of many questions about Christianity that can be easily answered if you read the teachings of Jesus.
A subscriber to this channel recently wrote to me, questioning the church system deception, and explaining her desire to learn how to find motivation to overcome the lukewarm Christianity that pervades her own church. Let's hear what she has to say...
Do you have real faith? Or is God, eternal life, and obedience to Jesus just a theory? This radical Christian sermon gets you to consider what it would be like to put your faith into action and obey Jesus as though he is real, and as though you really believe what he said. Religious indoctrination has people talking about faith but never actually getting up off their backsides to follow Jesus...like they say they believe they should do. Faith with works is secretly thought to be some form of extreme Christianity, even though the Bible really says otherwise. If you are willing to do more than just talk faith, and to actually obey the teachings of Jesus, then come along with us and prepare to have your life turned upside down and inside out!
What is a Pharisee? They are not just characters from the Bible. They epitomise hypocrisy and false teachings, and we are still dealing with them today in modern-day Christianity...probably even in your own church. If you don't want to be deceived by the Pharisees, as so many people were when Jesus walked the Earth, you need to learn to recognize them, and do all you can to avoid getting sucked in by their respectability and lukewarm doctrines.
What is the WYTH myth? It stands for Working Your Way to Heaven, and according to most, it's one of the worst things you can do as a Christian. For years, the debate over salvation by works vs grace has been raging, but this video is going to put an end to the debate once and for all. If you want to know how to be saved and go to heaven, stop looking to the thief on the cross for the answer, and other false doctrines of Christianity, and listen to what the Bible REALLY says about "works salvation".
This paraphrase on A Voice in the Desert is written by well known American theologian David Bentley Hart. He is refreshingly open about the standards Jesus set, and the need to follow them if we are to be genuine Christians. Hart says that New Testament Christianity, based on the teachings of Jesus, as well as on what other New Testament writers say, is one of extreme aversion to wealth. This is inconsistent with today's watered down version of Christianity, he says. Hart’s overview of the New Testament sees the writings of Paul and the teachings of Jesus as being consistent in their description of the relationship between God and money. Paul, says Hart, totally supports the need to obey Jesus. While first Christians like the desert fathers supported Christian communalism, other teachers justified accumulating wealth, and, contrary to the Bible, they became the leading voices of institutional Christianity. Jesus said "Woe to you who are rich!" and many scriptures support this view (James 5, 1 Timothy 6:10 and many others). It's time to stop making excuses for not following Jesus.

Most of what you see in the church world today is just lukewarm Christianity, by comparison to such things as Christian persecution in China. This video is a serious wake up call to the sort of suffering for Jesus that we are going to have to face one day, if we are true disciples of Christ. Living by faith in the real teachings of Jesus is what we need for overcoming fear and anxiety and everything else that keeps us from being what God wants us to be.
You probably never heard this teaching of Jesus, even if you are a Christian. The false Jesus of the churches is, more than anything else, respectable. But what is respect? What did Jesus teach about it? Any attempt to resolve the problems with Christianity could do worse than starting with this most simple command of Jesus, which NOBODY is practicing.
The truth about Christianity today is that it bears almost no resemblance to the teachings of Jesus (the FOUNDER of Christianity!). The Christian religion has become just a system of man-made rules designed to keep the public serving the economic system, instead of working for God. How did this happen? How do we get back to true Christianity? Please take the next 10 minutes to hear something you almost certainly will not hear in any church.

If you're looking for information on Christianity or just how to be a Christian, then give this video a few minutes of your time, and you'll hear 5 different definitions to answer: What is a Christian? They are guaranteed to make even the most dedicated Christian ponder, as you hear Christianity explained in a way that you probably never have heard it before.

A Voice in the Desert examines this obscure parable of Jesus to give us an idea about who will be saved when Jesus returns. The various denominations of Christianity all claim to be the correct Christian church. We assume they can't all be right, but Voice suggests that God isn’t interested in denominational tags at all, that he is looking, instead, for sincere Christians (those who are hungering for more truth) in every denomination and in no denomination. Decide for yourself after watching this latest release in a series of explanations of parables put out by this channel.
Of all of Jesus' teachings, what's the most embarrassing teaching of Jesus? The teachings of Jesus Christ are controversial and challenging, and everyone encounters some degree of difficulty with the things he is quoted to have said in the Bible, and what Jesus told his followers to do.
Is Jesus wrong? Is the Bible true? Has what Jesus told his disciples been misinterpreted? This video looks at the most embarrassing teaching of Jesus Christ and our need to take Jesus seriously in the things that he said, especially when we have some initial reservations about doing them.
This video explores some shocking bible verses: Would you cut off your hand, or poke your eye out if it meant being saved from hell? Should we take Jesus literally when he says to cut off body parts if they cause us to sin?
Questions about how to live by faith continue to pour in, and so once again, I've rushed to make a video to clarify 7 important points when it comes to following these words of Jesus. Christians and non-Christians alike are interested in alternative living, but for Christians, living simply or even living without money entirely should NOT be an excuse to be lazy.
