The Green Team is a wild life conservation group based in the City of Edinburgh consisting entirely of volunteers who give up their time, volunteering for the conservation of wild life and conserving of our wild places in and around the Lothians which includes the areas around Edinburgh, Midlothian and East Lothian. The groups main body of volunteering is by young people, aged 14-25 who come along on various day and weekend wildlife management courses using natural resources to save world wildlife through volunteer work who learn about the biodiversity, environmental issues as well as the importance of nature conservancy and conservation of wildlife. Since 1995, a total of over 1700 young wildlife conservationists have worked with the Green Team improving their local area, where young people carry out a community service for their area. There are also offers of wildlife conservationist jobs with the Green Team.

This past weekend the Hello Kitty Three Apples Exhibit launched at Royal/T, a unique art space and ship in Culver City. It's a killer place with a cosplay cafe that is utterly fantabulous. A group of pirate-clad poker players exchanged water-soaked playing cards and chips Saturday about 30 feet beneath the surface of the in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary.
The poker game was hosted by Captain Slates Atlantis Dive Center, and part of a weekend festival which culminates with a Buccaneer Finale Sunday, with events including a parade with floats and costume contests, live-steel swordplay, an artillery-clad re-enactment of the notorious pirate Black Caesars return, a By-Land-or-Sea Booty Hunt and a Pirate Bazaar and Thieves Market.
Key West's 30th annual Fantasy Fest begins today (Oct. 23), kicking off a 10-day schedule of masking and costuming balls, lively street parties and costume contests for those who want to dress up, dress down or bare whatever they dare.
Themed "Villains, Vixens, and Vampires," the festival continues through Sunday, Nov. 1, with more than 40 individual events.
Fantasy Fest debuted in 1979 as a weekend party, conceived by local merchants to enliven a traditionally slow period. It has since grown into an extravaganza famed for its flamboyance and internationally recognized as Key West's premier festival.
