A collision of worlds when two African-American families from divergent socioeconomic backgrounds get together one weekend in Martha's Vineyard for a wedding.
We stopped by Osterman Beach, aka Hollywood Beach, this weekend as we were enjoying the lovely weather.
Not only were preparations being made to open the concession stand, but we noticed that something had happened to the old facilities building.
The old facilities building looks completely new on the outside as local artists have covered the exterior of the building with a beautiful bricolage (similar to those that decorate the Bryn Mawr and Foster underpasses).

With this as a backdrop, Saul Abraham, Callum Cameron and Henry Degnin took it upon themselves to conduct an investigation into the socio-cultural make up of our quaint seaside town. Brighton is a city that, to a degree, is built upon a reputation substantiated by façades. For the majority of people who do not actually permanently reside here, it is largely observed as a place of escape. Whether this means a weekend soaked in alcohol, a short break during the summer, or, more poignantly, a place to come and search for a new existence in a new environment, it is easy to get ‘lost.' It is this concept of escape that is so prominent in Brighton – twinned with the drab inclement seaside weather of the dark winter months – that really inspired them to document a side to the city that can be so easily surpassed.

On Tuesday 29th, March 2011 Wembley Stadium hosted the much awaited England v Ghana International friendly. With Ghana ranked 16th in the world by FIFA, 10 places below England and both teams having won their last two matches, this historic event promised to be an exciting game. The Black Stars, were both excited and confident ahead of the match after their weekend win against Congo in their African Cup of Nations qualifier. Virginia's oldest juried crafts fair is held the first weekend of October throughout the National Historic Landmark Village of Waterford.
