While Sam is back home spending time with Jennifer, Sydney, Tanker, Lucky and Yolanda are taking a camping trip out in nature. Malcolm then creates a virus that will sink all the electricity in the world. When the virus strikes, the gang finds themselves in a real dilemma because Sam is not present. Therefore, it's up to Tanker, in the unlikely role of Servo, to save the day!
Sam, Tanker and Lucky try to get basketball superstar High Jump to come to their school before a big game tonight by telling him there is a charity event. Surely enough, when he arrives, High Jump finds out that it is all a scam, but unfortunately, he (and the guys) can't leave the school because of the Krono virus which created a barrier around the school. Because of this he will likely miss the game, unless Sam, with the help of Tanker and Lucky, and the unlikely help of High Jump, can defeat the virus in order to send High Jump on his way.
A power surge in syberspace sends Sam into an alternate universe, where everyone he knows is way different than from the universe he knows - for example, Yolanda is evil and creates viruses for Kilokahn, and Malcolm is a good-spirted guy who likes to help people. Sam must destroy the Hockinator virus in the alternate universe and find a way back home before it's too late.

We drove through the prairie fields of Southern Alberta (seeing Tysonâs first hare!) to eventually reach the gravel road leading to the Miltow Colony. We rolled up to the last row of houses that look much like military bunkhouses, got out of our van, and were greeted by Sam, the financial manager of the colony. We didnât see anyone else yet but we were intrigued. Sam is a round-faced, gentle-looking man. He, and all the men as we were going to see, wore black coats, black pants, and black hats that add a few inches to their height.
He beckoned us inside where we sat on a steel bench in a room with a desk, a couple of metal chairs, and a wooden clock on the wall. They offered us pork sausage and juice boxes that we accepted as two girls about our age entered the room. Michelle and Lorna were beautiful, smiling girls who, like all the other women, wore black and white polka dot headscarves, black coats, and striped skirts that went down to their black shoes. They all did their hair in a centre ...

The number one mistake that people make when they are confronted with the criminal justice system is thinking that they can handle it on their own. It's no big deal. If I just explain, with my golden tongue, what my circumstances are, everybody will say forget it, and let's go home. That does not happen. It is critical at moment one, if not sooner, to get an experienced attorney on your side, to protect you, to advise you. Too many times people make all kinds of statements. They think they're helping themselves. They're hurting themselves. Get an attorney right away. Follow what that attorney says, and let the attorney do his or her job. I'm Sam Goldberg, lead counsel for criminal defense matters at Altman and Altman in Cambridge, MA. I have 25 years of experience. Prosecutions for white collar crimes in Massachusetts usually result from a long standing investigation. Very often, you don't even know you're being investigated until the police show up at your door with what I like to call the Commonwealth bracelets of shame. If you get any hint that there is an investigation or an allegation that you did something illegal, that would be a white collar crime: that moment is the moment you should pick up the phone and contact an experience attorney because what happens during that investigation is going to play a big part in what happens with that prosecution. There's two words to consider regarding white collar crime these days. Bernie Madoff. Now that's an extreme case, and it's a case that's beyond Massachusetts, it's international. But the bottom line is that those cases become more and more important to prosecution, particularly federal prosecution. So the fact is that if there is a suspicion of white collar crime taking place, it is very likely that there is going to be a prosecution involved. So just on the basis of that, there is a rise for those types of prosecutions. Im Sam Goldberg, lead counsel for criminal defense matters, at Altman and Altman in Cambridge, Massachusetts. However, these are crimes, still. You could potentially go to jail for stealing something, even if there isn't a lot of financial value to what it is that you stole. There is a cutoff point, for example for more than $250, from petit loss to grand larceny. Again, it's going to be the facts and circumstances that control whether the prosecutor is looking for jail time, your record's going to be a part of that consideration. In Massachusetts, you can go to jail for a conviction, for illegally possessing a weapon. For the most part you see this with firearms. Now there are legal ways of having a firearm, you can have a license, that type of thing. But if you don't have a license, you could easily go to jail, particularly depending on what that firearm is, you have an AK-47, people are going to be nervous. So it's a crime that you do need to take seriously. You do want to have a good attorney with you, to try and minimize the chances of going to jail, particularly since those cases are pretty tough to fight, because you've got the officers saying: "found the gun, in his pocket." You can say the officer is lying, but maybe the attorney has better options. Im Sam Goldberg, lead counsel for criminal defense matters, at Altman and Altman in Cambridge, Massachusetts. If you have an outstanding warrant in Massachusetts, you should absolutely contact an attorney. You could just surrender yourself, you could just walk into the court and say, here I am everybody. It's critical that you come in voluntarily, certainly, because that will be an argument for you. But what you can do if you contact an attorney, is you can set the stage. You can have that attorney contact a prosecutor. The key issue is for you not to be held on high bail because of that warrant. An attorney can help you do that much more than you can for yourself. The advantage to having your record sealed really comes into play in Massachusetts if the charge or the conviction, is for something that is particularly flagrant. For example, a drug case. Many people are worried about a drug case being on your record. A sex crimes case, that type of thing. So if you can, you want to get that sealed. Yes, somebody will be able to tell that something happened. But they won't see what is was. On the flip side however, in some cases it's not worth doing that, because what you're doing is that you're leaving the record so that you can something happened there, but you don't know what, and you don't know what conclusions people are going to jump to. There are defenses that can be used in a drunk driving case if field sobriety tests were used. First of all the police officer's perspective, whether or not the tests were fairly given, some tests are not given any merit whatsoever. It's going to depend on the officer's credibility, because usually those are not filmed. So the officer will come in and say that the person did a, b, or c, and maybe the defendant will say no, I did this or that. Well, it's your word against the police officer's. Whereas with the breathalyzer, it's even tougher, because you've got the machine. I'm Sam Goldberg, lead counsel for criminal defense matters at Altman & Altman, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I've seen a lot of cases that were originally drunk driving cases, where the person was pulled over, they overreacted, and try to outrun or out talk the police officer, and they end up making the case worse. What you should do is politely comply, not volunteer any statements or explanations like "I only had 2 beers, officer." You have a right to take or not take field sobriety tests and the breathalyzer test. If you refuse to take the breathalyzer test, you'll lose your license for a certain amount of time. But if you've been drinking and you take the breathalyzer test, you fail, and you get convicted of drunk driving, and you're going to lose your license for longer. There are people that will tell you that you dont need to bring a lawyer to a Clerk Magistrate Hearing in Massachusetts. Technically, they're right, you don't have to; in fact you don't have to appear, but if you don't appear, the complaint is most likely going to issue against you. And the chances of that complaint issuing against you are also going to be much higher if you do not have an experienced attorney representing you at that time to try to prevent the complaint from issuing. Normally, misdemeanor criminal cases in Massachusetts are begun by the D.A. issuing a complaint. A Clerk Magistrate's Hearing is given in certain cases to determine whether or not that complaint should issue. So it actually happens before the arraignment, and it is a chance to avoid the arraignment. It's to determine whether there is probable cause to believe that the crime was commited, and was commited by that defendant. Self defense is an interesting defense, particularly in Massachusetts. The bottom line of self defense is that you are only justified in defending yourself with the same type of force of that which is being used against you. In Massachusetts, we are very concerned about hate crimes. People are extremely sensitive to those hate crimes, be it a hatred based on gender, race, sexual orientation, what have you. As a result, those cases are first of all going to get more publicity. And second of all be treated more harshly, in the courts. It's going to be tougher, even in a regular assault case for example, you might be able to get it, the case dismissed, or get a plea bargain where there's no jail. Well, if it's a hate crime, particularly because of the public exposure, the prosecutor's going to be very reluctant, as is the judge, to give any kind of leniancy. In Massachusetts, any crime can be elevated to a hate crime, if the circumstances surrounding the offense merit it. In other words, if there is an assault case or a malicious destruction of property, or it is done based on hatred or race, gender, sexual orientation, that type of thing, is going to be probably prosecuted as a hate crime. The number one mistake that I see people make, in assault cases, particularly assault & battery with a dangerous weapon cases, is that they think that authorities are going to see things the way they do. In other words, the defendant says, well I was justified because he said this, he said that, he got me angry... Well the fact is it's still a crime. But, if they don't take it seriously from the very beginning, they don't hire the right defense attorney to represent them seriously, so that's the number one mistake, not taking it seriously, not hiring counsel, and basically just making all kinds of statements that end up hanging you down the road.
