Dance floor feat. D.O.W.D.S is the latest single produced by Young Slims to be released from Monday 20th June 2011 at all major stores. Young Slims are a new dance act consisting of a trio of brothers, Elliot, Lee and Wayne. Hailing from the north of the UK, their unique style of music fuses elements of electro, house and dubstep to bring together the best of British electronic music
The single is released together with a 1980s inspired video by Rad Miller that features D.O.W.D.S in a parallel universe where parties last forever and nothing else matters but the music. Come with me on a 3 minute instrumental-only journey across Nuera's brilliant Green Cape Sunset with AVB on the original remix, which we broke down into a number of source samples. These samples were then assigned to keys on a sampler and overlayed with the track, which was further remixed using 2 decks against the original track. Several effects feature very late in the track so listen the whole way ;) I think this remix fully encompasses the feel of the original and extends it's beautiful melody much further than the original. Full credit to AVB for his work on The State of Trance and Mirages, two key sources for a number of backing effects I deposited into this track. The track is re-ordered and I think I've done a good job of smoothing out some of the less perfect areas of both the original and Armin Van Buuren version. Hope you enjoy, it really does sound gorgeous up loud on a good system. :)
