Dream Chemistry's single "The Wind" finds nature to be full of music. The uplifting nature of the song is paired nicely with the beautiful landscapes shot on location in Arizona (one should expect nothing less). The sun is used several times in overlaid shots, adding additional symbolism to the rising sun and sun-drenched hills. The band is a colorful cast of characters, with long black hair or a straw hat and quirky looking instruments. They look as if they just appeared out of the desert dust, an effect reinforced by the opening scene where each instrument fades in, with the musicians' name floating across the screen. It seems almost like the start of a folk tale, not a music video. With the lead singer Dellynn, taking the lead on camera time, viewers get a sense of her presence and her energy. She seems to believe in message of her song so intensely it becomes infectious. The complex layers of folk instruments and rich female vocal bring a wholeness to the song. The musicians illustrate their well-honed craft, focusing on their playing over camera candy, which maybe why some of the shots of the band without their instruments seems almost out of place within the song. While there are some fleeting moments where a camera shot do not ring true, the music is stunningly real and honest. Dream Chemistry certainly gives the viewer something to sing about. Notes of Inspiration ("NOI") is a public forum of free expression and a fertile ground where knowledge of one's craft can be shared with people young and old who aspire to create in music, dance, sculpture, photography, culinary cuisine, comedy, spoken word, photography and visual art. The goal is to bring awareness to area artists and to share artistic knowledge with the community. The immediate benefits are more outlets for relaxation and family fun for our communities and the future benefits are more artists and entrepreneur-minded leaders as we share the NOI vision with our youth.

At the age of 21, Brom Wikstrom was refining his craft. The son of a commercial artist, Brom also had a knack for painting. After illustrating his high school yearbook, he enrolled in college art classes. But that summer, Brom was injured in a diving accident that left him a quadriplegic. He would spend more than a year in the hospital. Though his hands could no longer hold a brush, his passion for painting couldn't be stilled. He soon began to paint again, but this time holding the paintbrush in his mouth. Now, Brom's beautiful artwork is known worldwide. And, thanks to the Mouth and Foot Painting Artists (MFPA), he and hundreds of artists like him are able to earn a living.

Once upon a time, in what some folks call a fit of my occasional cynicism, I remarked that where the spiritual is concerned, nobody forges new ground and gets away with it. If memory serves me right, one of the people who readily agreed with that statement was the High Priest/Bishop who gave me the ordination which I consider to be my "biggie". And, of course, in some cases "forging new ground" might actually be reclaiming old ground which others have abandoned. That's true in The Craft, but it is also true in some Christian paths - and all of those which cross between The Craft and Christianity. Understand the New Testament in its actual context and in light of certain "ignored" verses, and you'll understand what I mean.
And there are some basic principles which need to be understood. I consider them to be basic and elementary. The first is that if you have a tradition, follow it! The second principle is that if you are going to change a tradition from within, do so on a firm basis. History gives us some good examples of when and how this was done. Finally, sometimes the best way to make change is to build something new. That way, you can continue to respect (and be respected by) those who are following the old tradition, and you can build something with the opportunity to examine in a full context.
There are those who don't seem to understand this. One particular example in the Church of England has had so much press about variances of his opinions that he appears to waffle enough to open a breakfast shop!
And so, I adapt from a popular commercial from a few years ago. Got Guts? That might be a good thing to have in the coming days!
Blessed Be!

An Orion multi-purpose crew vehicle was on display outside the Texas State History Museum on Monday, June 20, 2011. The capsule is similar to the craft used in the Apollo missions.
The Orion MPCV, as it's now known, was designed and built by Lockheed Martin. This specific spacecraft was recently tested in New Mexico.
Like Apollo, Orion is meant for deep space exploration. Engineers adapted what they learned from early Apollo missions and coupled it with 40 years of advancements in technology.
Deputy Project Manager Larry Price says Orion will serve as both a replacement for the space shuttle, and will get the United States back into manned deep space exploration.

Minimal construction and marginal seaworthiness meant maximum hilarity Labor Day Weekend, when nearly 40 teams tried to keep plywood-and-duct-tape vessels afloat during Key West's wacky Schooner Wharf Minimal Regatta.
Rules required each team to build a boat out of a four-by-eight-foot sheet of plywood, two eight-foot two-by-fours, a roll of duct tape, a pound of fasteners and epoxy paint.
As spectators cheered, team members navigated the vessels through a "sink or swim" course at Key West's Historic Seaport Sunday afternoon, trying to stay afloat the longest. Many got "that sinking feeling" soon after launching, but a few craft proved surprisingly seaworthy.
