Much like the children of Israel coming out of bondage, we see people praise God when things are good, but turn their backs on Him when things go array OR cry out when things are bad only to forget about Him when things are good.
We've all noticed the growing trend in hip hop of secular artist using sacred imagery and let's just be blunt, blasphemous lyrics in their songs. It seems that any opportunity to call themselves God or take a shot at the church or Our Savior, is being taken advantage of and we've seen it from music to fashion. On award shows everyone wants to "First and foremost thank God" only to talk down on Him in their lyrics. When these types of things happen, we consider that as man taking shots at God, but what man doesn't realize is that is one war of words that he will surely lose. As Christians I know we've all at some point felt a righteous indignation regarding this issue. Instead of condemning, we've chosen to give a stern warning...Shots Fired!
