This year Planned Parenthood is participating in a national effort that builds on Dr. Martin Luther King’s mission by transforming Monday’s holiday into a national day of community service —grounded in his teachings of social justice and nonviolence. The King Day of Service aims to make the holiday a day in which people all across the country, of all ages and backgrounds, come together to move our nation closer to the “Beloved Community” that Dr. King envisioned.
