This episode of the Congressional Report with Iowa Congressman Tom Latham recognizes the importance of Memorial Day in May with a tour of some of the many memorials in the Washington region and their history.

Joining Congressman Latham is Michael Kelly, a Ranger with the National Park Service’s National Mall and Memorial Parks division. Ranger Kelley is one of the many men and woman who serve their nation by helping visitors to the Washington area experience the National Mall and Memorial Parks to their fullest. Every day these rangers assist, teach, and befriend the thousands of school children, families, foreign visitors, veterans and recreational users come to the park daily.

This episode is a virtual and informative tour of this impressive mingling of natural and cultural resources of the National Mall and Memorial Parks have made our Nation's Capital one of the most heavily visited and photographed places in the world.
