PORT-AU-PRINCE (Jan. 16, 2010) Sailors from USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) transport injured Haitian citizens on board the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. Two of the patients were a newborn baby and his mother. The baby was born onboard the United States Coast Guard Cutter Tahoma. Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing 17 are conducting humanitarian and disaster relief operations as part of Operation Unified Response.
