This is the news montage that all of INNewsCenter has been waiting for. The new Fox Fort Wayne News First at 10. Sadly, as INNewsCenter believed, the newscast is not in High Definition. This is not the first time WFFT had a newscast--almost 30 years ago, there was a short lived newscast. This is actually the second go round for news on WFFT, other than news updates as seen in the March 2001 News Update from Steve Shine. WFFT became the last Fox affiliate in Indiana to launch news. Fellow Fox affiliate WXIN down I-69 in Indianapolis was the first almost 18 years before WFFT. The three other Fox affiliates already had newscasts before switching from ABC to Fox--WFXW (formerly WBAK) in January 1995; WSJV in October 1995; and WTVW in December 1995. The newscast is somewhat a crossover with INNewsCenter's sister sites as follows: Texas (NewsMusicNow): News graphics and music are what I believe are similar to sister station KBTV in Beaumont, TX, which recently switched from NBC to Fox earlier this year. (The former) Ohio News Center: The anchor, Jim Blue, is from WNWO in Toledo. Florida News Center: The chief meteorologist, Kennie Berg, was a meteorologist at First Coast News (WTLV/WJXX) in Jacksonville.
