It's been 4 years since the end of Metal Gear Solid 4 and alot has happened. Snake got a bad plastic surgery job (trying to look young again) and has gone into hiding, but Liquid has his old body back and he's kidnapped all 50 of the United States of America and is armed with A BRAND NEW METAL GEAR! So now its up to Snake to get out of hiding and back into action!
