Learning a second language is 10 times harder than any telemarketing call. Stand Out Get Noticed podcast (The C Method Episode 283) guest Richard Blank Costa Rica's Call Center.
Christina Canters: You are really ha people then feel seen, they feel heard, they feel like they matter. And that sounds exactly what you are able to do through the way that you communicate with others.
Richard Blank: Sure. And in their first day when they come to work, I let 'em know that learning a second language is 10 times harder than anything.
I'll put them on, I'll give 'em all their resource. and I'll support you a hundred percent. And before we go into the training room, why don't we go play some pinball for 20 minutes and go ? And so we start with dessert first. And so I've seen individuals on their first day instead of just absorbing, now they're contributing.
I really do see that sort of momentum and breakthrough very fast.
Christina Canters: Wait, can you dive a little bit more into that? So when you say you have dessert first. What exactly are your team doing on the first day? Is it the playing the pinball?
Richard Blank: Of course. Before even the training class ,
Christina Canters: so everyone, so it's basically having fun.
So it's having fun building culture before they've even watched the first onboarding video, my
Richard Blank: friend is helping them relax, love it, because they just probably came from an environment where they left because of a bad coworker, bad supervisor. Obviously they're not there anymore, so it's, they're on a rebound.
But I cracked a code. When people are filling out their applications and putting in everything that you want, hire them for. I asked them to turn their paper over and why don't you write me a couple paragraphs of a coming of age moment? Let me know when you had your walkabout, when you beat up a bully or saved a kitten out of a tree.
And so I do this to see what sort of depth they have, where their mind goes immediately when it comes to how they see themselves in their proudest moment, and also on a rainy Wednesday. I can remind you of when you were a champion and let them know that you're better than that and I, I know where you could be.
And so these are the sort of things where you try to really grow with somebody with synergy, because as I say, they look at me as a boss and they come into work and everyone does their 40 hours a week. I, I see it differently. I was given a career. I came to Costa Rica at 27 and worked at my friend's center for four years.
So it was a one in a million opportunity. I, I learned it from the inside out. I wasn't C level. I sat in the cubicles, broke bread, saw all the good and the bad, and it allowed me to understand areas in which I could extend more empathy and give, not just call center industries, any sort of person, more dignity.
And I knew if I was ever given that. My base foundation would be play , empathy, and just showing that sort of respected people because, um, it's done well for me. I have a very nice reputation here and I am a guest in this country, and so the fact that I was embraced, I was able to build a business in a very competitive industry.
I got my blessings every day. This should have never happened, and so. It really puts things in perspective on being bold. And fortune does favor the brave. And from time to time, my friend, there may be naysayers and gray believers out there, and it's only because they love you, but you have this sort of thing in your heart, then by all means, you should drink life and you should go for it.
And I really respect people that are responsible financially and with their family, but have this sort of vigor. To really put their hat in the ring, or as John Wayne said, die with your boots on . And, and I love seeing people like that because you know, they're living the most fulfilled life.

“I love to allow people to feel more comfortable with me, to become more engaged in a conversation. This is not a lecture, and I’m not just checking off boxes and interrogating you. It’s a conversation. And it’s I mean, I don’t learn anything new when I speak. I love hearing what other people have to say to see what I have in common.”
This is Richard Blank’s story…
My name is Richard Blank and I’m the CEO of Costa Rica’s Call Center. I’m skilled in reading phonetic micro expressions and use this to my advantage when speaking with people, especially over the phone.
I’ve found that by using someone’s name, asking how their company is doing, and sharing interesting facts about myself, I’m able to build rapport and influence the person I’m speaking with. This has been beneficial in both my personal and professional life.
In this episode, you will discover:
Phonetics is the purest form of communication, the sound of speech, not the semantics or even the tone.
The tone of voice should always be positive and empathetic.
0 seconds to 2 minutes is the best time to gauge a person.
How to gauge someone. They discuss some of the techniques they use to do it.
Richard believes in open-ended questions and specific name drops.
He also believes in the art of speech and meeting minutes to avoid conflict.
Richard’s advice to people is to be authentic.
When he was in his 20s, he tried to change his personality for a job interview, but he realised it was not going to work for him. Now he allows people to grow naturally.
He believes that people that feel seen, they feel heard, and they feel like they matter through the way that they communicate with others.
Richard’s journey in the call center space is filled with twists and turns. When he was 27 years old, he relocated to Costa Rica to train employees for one of the larger call centers in San Jose. With a mix of motivational public speaking style backed by tactful and appropriate rhetoric, Richard shared his knowledge and trained over 10 000 bilingual telemarketers. This is the studio version of an original gospel blues song written, arranged , and performed by Mike Vargas on acoustic guitar. Jesus not only told us to love our enemy, but also backed it up by surrendering his life at the cross. There is no greater love than this.

What do you think of when you hear the word 'idolatry'? A golden calf? Yoga? Worship of the sun, moon, and stars? What about "the almighty dollar?" It's shocking how many Christians proclaim that "money makes the world go round", at the same time they claim to worship a God who supposedly created this planet and all the life in it. If you want to break away from the I-Dollar-Tree, this video will give the axe you need to start chopping at the root of all evil.
"People In Love" (Creamy pop/soul ballad version), remade by Joyce Berry in 1982:
This is the female version of the Eric Stewart & Graham Gouldman
composition with gender changed from 'her' to 'his' and from 'she' to
'he' where she sings in a lower register, lower than Eric Stewart from
British pop group 10cc.
When American blue-eyed soul/pop singer and backing vocalist Joyce Berry was younger back in 1977, she heard a pop song on the radio, called, "People In Love" by British pop band 10cc she would be more familiar with and then also bought both a small 45 RPM single and a sheet music of the same song, so she had to learn the words to that song over and over again until she was satisfied with it, so she decided to sing it lower in her smoky alto than band member Eric Stewart in his tenor.
Since Joyce is a straightforward pop/soul singer with a soft ballad
voice in a real authentic style, she moves away from the Godley &
Creme artistic, abstract art-rock stuff, progressive rock, avant-garde,
rock opera and experimental stuff when she said "No, I don't like the
abstract art-rock stuff of Godley & Creme because I find it bland
and boring that lacks soul. I don't like it. I prefer Eric Stewart &
Graham Gouldman better that have more soul than that when they made such real authentic pop music that I'm always crazy about.", so she decided to focus more on some of the straightforward Stewart &
Gouldman pop stuff that she is more comfortable with.

"People In Love" - original by 10cc
'People In Love' is Eric's turn to go all gooey-eyed and we'll be getting a lot of these love-lorn ballads from him over the next few albums. Some of them will be stunningly gorgeous, but sadly this inferior sequel to 'The Things We Do For Love' isn't one of his best. The song was actually the very last track ever recorded by the 'old' line-up of 10cc where it had the curious working title 'Voodoo Boogie' (it was later released in 2012 on the 'Tenology' box set) - maybe it was the thought of working on an album full of mawkish songs like this that caused Godley and Creme to quit. Eric is always good at sounding like he's in love, though and 'People In Love' is like one of those kitsch ornaments: so exquisitely carved and molded with so much care and talent that you're impressed even whilst you're being sick from the sheer OTT ness of it all (if ever a song was already so far gone it could have done without syrupy strings it's this one!) Some of the lyrics are sweet though and on an album where 'The Things We Do For Love' hasn't already made the point better this song would be better regarded. Love is again an illness, a form of insanity almost, that turns the narrator's life upside down and means he can 'do nothing right' - another very universal song, then, although some of what it causes the narrator to do sounds rather unusual ('Walk under buses and burn your wings' - sounds like a problem with his eyesight to me, not his lovesick heart). Note the first appearance of a key theme of later Eric Stewart songs - the idea that the narrator
never gets enough time with his beloved before being forced to go
somewhere else and the thought that time moves quicker when you're enjoying yourself (this is the key theme of 'Windows In The Jungle'). A bit of a gooey mess, 'People In Love' should only be listened to by 'People In Love' who can stand the saccharine, although if Eric's vocals on this recording don't make you fall in love with him you have a heart of stone (or a cold).

"Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from their branches they find that they were one tree and not two." In the lush foliage of VanDusen Botanical Garden, we were truly lucky to witness the beginning of a beautiful life together for Danielle and David, who are not only in love, "which any fool can do", but really embody what true love is.

Episode 7 of 10 Charlie Dimmock campaigns to put ponds back in gardens. She finds out the importance of ponds for wildlife and takes the plunge in a new style of water gardening - the swimming pond. Charlie also finds out how a community in East Yorkshire has come together to breathe new life into their village pond. The lakes, small ponds and water features of Nottingham Trent University are the starting point for her revival, and Charlie gives her step-by-step guide to building a wildlife pond and bog garden, from the initial design stage, right through to planting up. Chris Beardshaw wants to return a Victorian curiosity, the stumpery, to our gardens. Similar to rock gardens but created from upturned tree stumps, logs and roots, stumperies were created to display the spoils of intrepid Victorian plant hunters. On his revival Chris discovers how fern fever swept the nation in the 19th century. He meets a man in North Wales who is as fascinated by ferns as he is and sets off on a woodland trail to see the stumpery as nature intended. Chris bases his campaign at the most famous stumpery in the country, created by HRH the Prince of Wales, in the grounds of Highgrove House. Throughout the show, he creates his own mini-stumpery using his favourite ferns to full effect and shows how to grow mushrooms on a log.
Episode 9 of 10
Toby Buckland wants to put homegrown fruit back into Britain's gardens. On his revival he meets a fruit tree conservationist who rescues species that are close to extinction, as well as a family in Kent whose passion for fruit has resulted in the creation of the largest collection of different fruit trees in the country. Toby gives his tips and advice on how easy it can be to plant and care for fruit trees. He shows how to cordon a pear tree, prune espaliered apple trees and the best ways to store the results of the autumn harvest.
Christine Walkden gets behind the Victorian craze for ornamental bedding. On her campaign she meets the passionate people working hard to keep this gardening heritage alive. She discovers the innovations in plant breeding which are breathing new life into bedding and in Bournemouth she finds out how the council are encouraging the local people and visitors alike to develop a taste for ornamental bedding, with their edible displays. Throughout the show Christine shares her tips and advice - she shows how to create a portable carpet bed and how to grow one of the most popular bedding plants, the geranium, from cuttings.
There were two trees in the Garden of Eden: The Tree of Life, and the Tree of the Knowledge of
Good and Evil
• The difference between the two is God
• The Tree of Life is fed by the Spirit of God
• The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and d Evil is fed by the soul of man.
• The Tree of Knowledge is the replacement for God—it’s the choice God allows us
to make:
• To be fed by our soul, or be fed by our spirit
If you live by your soul, does that make you a spiritual person?
• God created you with an intellect—but does that make you any more spiritual?
• God’s ways are higher than our ways
• God’s wisdom will always seem foolish to the lower logic of man
• The logic of man will never create a pathway to spirituality
What is Evil? Why does it exist? Is there a battle between good and evil?
God is not fi ghting for control of anything
Two trees in the Garden
• The Tree of Life
• The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
Why would God put two trees in the Garden, yet forbid the eating of the fruit of one of them?
• God wants us to love Him freely and with freewill
• Without choice, we are just robots
The relationship between good and evil is in of itself a mystery
• God sent His son Jesus to pay the consequences of sin once and for all
• Jesus returned to mankind the authority that had been given to Satan
• Jesus, the last Adam, accomplished this through His sinless life
Why does Satan then still have power?

Synopsis:Murder of Mystic (Killing of the Spiritual Tree) The fishermen of three fishing villages around Karachi have one common asset and so a common challenge to safeguard it. The mangrove forests are natural treasure for the fishermen, which are being clear- cut by the vested interests. The struggle of fishermen against deforestation is now turning into a battle of their survival. The timber mafia, land-grabbers and heartless urban corporations are wreaking havoc on their centuries old settlements by logging mangrove trees. These indigenous fishermen tried to resist the devastation but were killed by the land-grabbing mafia. Mystics are not restricted to the human world alone. Mangroves are spiritual trees which are in service of mankind. Mangroves are refuge to birds, marine forms of life and a natural guard against disasters like cyclones and tsunamis. Fishermen call them their lifeline.

“A HEAVENLY BLOW” aheavenlyblow@gmail.com http://akiwai.com When Reno Bruce, a landscaping and tree contracting service provider, set forth, on the morning of Thursday the 16th day of November 1995, nothing could have prepared him for the immensity of the event that would occur. There was no warning. And yet, at that moment of impact, a special gift would reveal itself, to Reno, that would ultimately change his entire life. It would not be an easy or a simple transformation for Reno Bruce. However, those many thousands of people, who have had the honor of stepping into his path, would, in turn, receive a life-altering message; a message from Akiwai, channeled through the hands and eyes of Reno Bruce. His relationship to the trees had taken on a whole new experience. A chance meeting with a gentleman, from Australia, would reveal, to Reno, information, that also served as a catalyst for change which resonated so deeply, there was no way of denying it. An impactful moment, in time, has taken Reno Bruce 17 years to come to grips with. A moment of incredible transformation. If you are in the process of questioning your forward path at this time or, if you have found yourself in a place of avoidance, this is a must see documentary. Universe is clear intentioned in informing us of all the forward, moving ways that we can be at effect of change in our world. “Reach, if you will, inside yourself. See what boundaries you’ve adhered to for so long; never questioned; never really re-evaluated. Is it time for an update? It is time to renew that computer program that’s been passed to you; through you; for you; all about you. It’s time. Time is not just an illusion. It’s also the announcement of the sequence of events that is necessary for the next step and the next step. Aloha!” Akiwai (Reno Bruce, a Spirit Sculptor for Akiwai, shares his magnificent creations at www.akiwai.com)

The Tree of Life is a 2011 American drama film with experimental elements written and directed by Terrence Malick and starring Sean Penn, Brad Pitt, and Jessica Chastain. Malick's film chronicles the origins and meaning of life by way of a middle-aged man's childhood memories of his family living in 1950s Texas, interspersed with imagery of the origins of the universe and the inception of life on Earth. After several years in development and missing 2009 and 2010 release dates, the film premiered in competition at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Palme d'Or. The film received widespread critical acclaim, but also polarizing responses to Malick's use of technical and artistic imagery, directorial style, and fragmented non-linear narrative.

The Tree of Life Movie Review: Movie Irv reviews the much-anticipated drama from filmmaker Terrence Malick, a film about life, death, and the origin of the universe, and dinosaurs, among other things. There are minor SPOILER ALERTS posted for you at the appropriate time(s)! The acclaimed and controversial film stars Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain, and features incredible cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezki and special effects work by the legendary Douglas Trumbull (2001: A Space Odyssey). Gina from HauntedFlower.com and HauntedFlowerreviews.com reviews Terrence Malick's "The Tree of Life" starring Brad Pitt, Jessica Chastain, and Sean Penn. This review might be unpopular, but it's pretty damn honest. This film drove me crazy and I'm about to go off on it. It's just an opinion and you're allowed to have a different one, we all are. Fire away.

One day, while on his way home from a fishing trip, Mr. Brown fell asleep at the wheel of his car, crashed into a tree and died instantly.
He arrived at the gates of Heaven where he was greeted by Saint Peter.
Welcome to Heaven Mr. Brown.
Thank you.
Letâs get you checked in.
Whatâs all this?
These are âlie clocksâ.
I donât understand.
Well, you see, each person on Earth has his own clock and every time he tells a lie the hands move.
Now I get it. Interesting...
Whose clock is that?
Oh thatâs Mother Teresaâs clock. You can tell by the fact that the hands have never moved, that she never told a lie.
Really? And what about that clock up there?
That clock belongs to Abraham Lincoln, and you can see the hands have only moved twice, that means he only told two lies in his life.
I see.
St. Peter, whereâs Bushâs clock?
Oh, thatâs in Jesusâ office, heâs using it as a ceiling fan.

Read Genesis 2:4-24
What does the word "Day" refer to in 2:4?
Why did God put the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden?
Why did God put the Tree of Life in the garden?
What is the purpose of the geography lesson in Genesis 2:10-14?
The first time God sees something as "not good" is Genesis 2:18. What do you learn about God from this?
What does the order of creation tell us about men? About women? About our relationship with each other?
How do you understand "helper" in 2:18?
Note that 2:19 says, "had formed." As in "previously." This is not a contradiction of Genesis 1.
Why did God put Adam through the hassle of naming all the creatures before creating Eve?
Why did God create Eve from Adam's rib instead of from dirt like Adam?
What does 2:24 tell us about families?
Note that the word translated "earth" in most English Bibles is translated "land" in 70% of its other uses. Would translating it as "land" here change the meaning? Distributed by Tubemogul.
