Russ Miller of Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries. Russ Miller is a degreed businessman who spent 18 years developing a successful nationwide firm. A church Trustee and theistic evolutionist at the time, due to our secular education system which only presents one choice of our origins, he was introduced to the scientific facts. Russ states, “I’m a General Manager. I make logical decisions based on facts. When I saw that not one branch of modern science has a shred of real evidence for Darwinism, yet it’s taught as fact in schools, I thought, this is ridiculous.” Russ says, “There are 3 types of people: those that make it happen; those that watch it happen; and those that don’t know what happened.” In order to serve his Creator, Russ made something happen. He gave away his business and began Creation, Evolution & Science Ministries, developing dynamic PowerPoint presentations, DVDs, DVD Study Guides, audio CDs and radio programs which build faith in the truth of all Scripture. These popular level messages are enjoyed by people aged 9 to 99. He adds, "You don't have to believe anything I tell you. All I ask is that you look at facts and weigh them against anything that has you compromising God’s Word." For anyone who does so, it is a "no brainer." Mr. Miller has also authored three books, and has led several Grand Canyon Bus Tours. In Fennario's War, David Fennario plays three parts, all with his own voice: the journalist Jerry Nines, the veteran Harry "Rosie" Rollins, and his best friend Private Rummie Robidou. The setting is a hotel bar in Montreal, Remembrance Day 1977, as Rollins tells Nines about the experience of being in the trenches during World War I. The account is light years away from the maudlin sentimentalism of "nation building" which often characterizes both conventional histories and documentaries when they deal with this period.
On Friday Oct. 26, 2007, David Fennario invited friends and family to his Verdun apartment where he read his newest play called Bolsheviki. The playwright sits at a plain, brown table. His audience listens to him deliver an account which slowly takes on the character of the past speaking directly to the present, speaking with power and truth. Rollins tells Nines about men pissing in their trousers, losing limbs, planning revolt against their ...
Dr. Carter's talk is titled 'Genetics According to Jesus'. The book of Genesis is a history book, not a science book. However, the book makes some grand claims about the past that should become evident as we explore the world through science. As a sound source for the history of man, we should be able to detect the major events of Genesis through modern genetics. There are three main events that, if they occurred at all, must have left an indelible mark on our genetic makeup: Creation, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Each one of these can be clearly seen - if one knows where to look. Dr. Carter obtained a BS in Applied Biology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1992. He then spent four years teaching high school biology, chemistry, physics and electronics before going to the University of Miami to obtain his PhD in Marine Biology. He successfully completed this program in 2003 with a dissertation on ‘Cnidarian Fluorescent Proteins.’ While in Miami, he studied the genetics of pigmentation in corals and other invertebrates, designed and built an aquaculture facility for Caribbean corals, performed well over 500 SCUBA dives, many of them at night, and licensed a spin-off product of his research (a patent-pending fluorescent protein) to a biotech company.

Rare 1950 Allard K1. 1 of 3 with left-hand drive. The first three Allard "K" series cars built in 1950 featured this earlier coachwork. All three were the only cars of 1950 made featuring left-hand drive, and they were imported to the USA. This was the second of the three for import. The whereabouts of the other independent front suspension that was offered on the J1 race car of the same period. After the first three K1's were made in 1950, Allard switched to the new bodywork of the K2. There was a scant 151 of these cars made by Sir Sidney Allard. A notable feature is the cut-down doors, art-deco styling including the flip-out turn signals, and "waterfall" grille - which was a take away from the Pre-War Allard's and Allard race cars. This example is silver, finished with a blue interior and black convertible top. It's powered by a 59A Mercury Flathead V8 with manual transmission and highly-machined gear shift lever. The engine set-up and finish is a wonderful surviving example of period Southern California Hot Rod practice.

Sderot (Hebrew: שְדֵרוֹת) is a western Negev city in the Southern District of Israel. According to the Israel Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), at the end of 2009 the city had a total population of 20,700.[1] The city has been an ongoing target of Qassam rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip. In March 2008, the mayor said the population had declined by 10%-15% as families left the city in desperation (aid organizations say the figure is closer to 25%). Many of the families that remain cannot afford to move out or are unable to sell their homes.[2] Sderot, less than a mile from Gaza, has been the target of Palestinian rocket attacks which, between 2001 and 2008, killed 13 Israelis living near the Gaza border, wounded dozens, caused millions of dollars in damage, and profoundly disrupted daily life.[3] According to MSNBC, "nearly everyone [has been] traumatized by the frequent sound of air-raid sirens and explosions of incoming projectiles". All local schools have been fortified.[4] From mid-June 2007 to mid-February 2008, 771 rockets and 857 mortar bombs were fired at Sderot and the western Negev, an average of three or four each a day.[5]

This is Thomas Feng with Bay Area Connect. This week we'll be talking about buying a home vs. renting (ie. apartments) and the pros and cons of each. BTW kind of sick this week but bear with me.
Because lets face it real estate around here is not cheap, this forces many people to rent for the time being.
Did you know this: Young adults are just as committed to becoming home owners as their parents and grandparents before them. Of the 798 young adults (ages 18â29) who participated in the poll, about three in four say owning a home provides a healthy, stable environment for raising a family, and more than two-thirds say owning contributes to their long-term financial goals.

http://aroundthe.net The netbook market is expected to maintain shipments of about 30 million units in 2011 with the top-three vendors to ship about six million units each, according to the word on the street here in Taipei. Netbooks are Dead is a catch phrase thatâs been going around since the release of Appleâs iPad. However, it appears that the manufacturers have recently changed their position after looking at the market and believe that netbooks still have a place.
The reasons for this change of heart is they realized they are likely to have difficulty earning good profits since smartphone vendors are also aggressively cutting into the market. So it seems that many are changing their plan to have more balanced approach rather then dropping netbooks for tablets.
They have good reason for keep netbooks around, Intel is in fact earning a strong profit and AMD has recently entered the netbook market with its latest APU which will make the segment more attractive due to competition. Its exciting times ...
Louis, a very naive man, was having trouble selling his car.
He placed an ad in the newspaper, but after 2 months no one bought the car.
Everyone who came to look at the car complained that it had too many kilometers on it.
The odometer read 210,000.
He mentioned the problem to his co-worker, Charlie, who suggested that he bring the car to a mechanic friend of his.
âHereâs the address,â said Charlie.
âTell him that I sent you to turn the odometer backâ.
Three weeks later Charlie asked Louis if he had had any luck selling the car.
âWhy would I want to sell my car?â asked Louis. âIt only has 38.000 kilometers on it!â.
Thatâs all for now. â¨See you next time!
