The Mountainview Diner, Union 76 gas station, and Lincoln Lodge were all built around 1953 and represent to me a tyupical rural highway crossroads of the era and the developing road culture. This is the second render; it is still too fast so I'll redo it and make the distance travelled a bit shorter, maybe spending more time at the three main intersections and less racing down the road.

The magical willow maze Haywire in Lookout Cove – a temporary living sculpture by the artist Patrick Dougherty – has lasted three times longer than we expected. Now, it’s time for us to say goodbye to the maze for a little while. While we’re sad about removing Haywire, we’re also very happy that the artist will be coming back in January 2012 to create a new willow sculpture.

Jim Burr, amateur astronomer, inventor, founder of JMI Telescopes, is recognized throughout the world for his achievements in telescope design and manufacturing including two for NASA’s “Mars Science Lab”. Mr. Burr has designed the NGT line of telescopes as well as a line of binocular telescopes. The NGT 18” has been reviewed nationally and internationally, and was included in the 1990 Rolex award for enterprise. Mr. Burr lectures around the world and has a daily TV show seen on the LLBN channel, as well as dozens of programs on 3ABN TV. Mr. Burr has been lecturing at the University of Northern Colorado/Greeley “Frontiers in Science” Program for ten years, where he has received the student’s award.
