Navicat allows you to back-up an entire server with all databases automatically by using the batch job feature. You can also set Navicat to send an email notification after the batch job has been completed. In this tutorial, we will show you how to setup a back-up schedule with an email notification. First, click “New Batch Job” to create a new batch job. In the design form, simply double-click the job to add it to the “Selected Jobs” area. Then, select the “Advanced” tab to set the email notification. Now check the “Send Email” option and enter the necessary information, such as sender, recipient and the SMTP Server. If your SMTP server requires authentication to send emails, you need to check the “Use Authentication” option and fill in the required information. You can send a test mail by clicking the “Send Test Mail” button. Then, save the batch job and click the “Set Task Schedule” button to set a schedule to run the batch job. You can then set a schedule, for example: running the batch job every day at 10:30.
