The task was to model your favorite game character wearing a Halloween costume and the finished model had to be game ready, time limit 72 hours.
Unfortunately I have no favorite video game character, so I just decided to model this weird Trevor from GTA 5 wearing a Freddy Krueger costume, I still waiting for the PC release of GTA 5 and I never played this game on a console before, but I watched much lets plays about it.
I thought this Trevor-Freddy-Krueger combination fits well to Halloween and it could be a nice challenge for me to become better in character modeling and texturing.
First I have searched a lot of reference pictures on the web, mainly high-resolution wallpapers and screenshots, then I started to model a High-Poly version with 1.200.000 triangles to bake the normal and the ambient occlusion map on the UV of the Low-Poly version which has 8.233 triangles.
You will find the Low-poly version of this charter on layer one and the High-Poly version on Layer six. All the modifiers i have uesed for the bake prozess are still present, I thought it might be interesting as example for those who want to learn this bake technique.
All the diffuse maps would be drawn in Blenders Texture Paint Mode, no external
2D Image editing this time :)
The Armature is very simple but functional.
