Mr. Mooney (Gale Gordon) and Lucy (Lucille Ball) travel to a quaint small town to meet with the mayor (Barry Kelley) regarding the building of a freeway down Main Street. When they arrive, they are greeted with intense opposition and Lucy decides to join the anti-freeway townspeople in their fight against the project.
