Anxiety and panic attacks are short periods of time (from just a few seconds to 30 minutes or so) when you experience intense fear or discomfort. Sometimes panic attacks are specific to certain situations, sometimes they have generalised out from the initial situation or trigger to several situations. When you avoid situations where you might develop a panic attack by staying indoors, this is called agoraphobia.
I can show you how to deal with situations and thoughts that have triggered attacks in the past and how to react to needing to feel in control. Clients often find that their previous symptoms become more comfortable and happen less often, and they become more comfortable and confident in situations where they were once worrying about the possibility of panic attacks.
