Each year on our anniversary, my wife and I read over Shakespeare's sonnets and choose the one most apt celebrating our love this year. Tess then consults her books on literary and pictorial symbolism, and finds a flower which is suggested by it. This year the sonnet is #43, the flower a pansy.
