Maricel plays Norma, a single mom who leaves her own daughter Ruby (Tala Santos) in the province to work as a nanny for the daughter of Sunshine Cruz and Zoren Legaspi, a cute little girl named Louise (Ericka Ureta). Ruby is taken care of by her mom, Lola Toots (Liza Lorena), and Maricel sees her only each summer when she takes a vacation.

Louise is so attached to Maricel, who took care of her since she was a baby. Complications occur when Lola Toots dies. Maricel has no choice but to bring Ruby to live with Louise's family. The two little girls become rivals for the attention of Maricel. When Louise's parents decide to migrate abroad, they offer to take Maricel with her, but she has to leave her own daughter behind.
