Guar gum is very much important to retain the quality in food industry due to its unique properties. This video explores the enhancing properties of guar gum powder including nutritional components in guar gum, mechanism of guar gum when consumed through food preparations, enhancing shelf life in bakery products-a wonderful property that keeps up the food quality. Guar gum has the capacity to increase moist crumb that results in increased shelf life for the bakery products like cakes and pastries without adding caloric value. Bakery products, dairy products, confectionaries or frozen foods contain rich source of calories however, if guar gum is added it increases the viscosity but maintain relatively less percentage of calories.
