Starting with roles on "Studio One in Hollywood" and "Route 66" fans saw actor Ed Asner work in some of televisions best, including "The Untouchables", "The Fugitive", and the epic series "Roots". Perhaps most memorable to some as "Lou Grant" on the "Mary Tyler Moore Show", 13 Emmy Awards later the show has remained an icon in television history, and Ed Asner had earned a permanent spot in the hearts of fans.
Through movies, like "Elf" and "Up", he has continued to earn fans across generations. Switching from "Santa" to "super hero", Mr. Asner is also very active with comic and animation including "All-Star Superman", "Superman:Batman Apocalypse", and "The Spectacular Spider-Man".
KP meets again with the playful Mr. Asner at the SAG Wards gift suite in Hollywood to talk about the characters in his career, the work he has selected through the years, and what he has planned in the future as an actor.
