This song was written in 1985, after a personal loss. The poem by e. e. cummings presents various ways to see and remember things – and to see what is true. In the end, perhaps it’s in “forgetting” (or letting go) that we can remember what something truly means. The song is performed here so beautifully by Katherine McKalip, soprano and Cindy Fox, piano. The recording was of poor quality, and I’ve done what I could to clean it up and enhance the audio. Contact me at dvic56@aol.com for info on sheet music.
