This is a track from vibraphonist Joe Locke titled Verrazano Moon, which is on his new E1 Entertainment release, For the Love of You. Joe's unique talents have been honored by being the #1 Vibist in the DB critics poll (TDWR) and three-time Mallet Player of the Year award from JJA (including 2009). He has played with everyone from Dizzy Gillespie, Pepper Adams and Mongo Santamaria to Rod Stewart and the Beastie Boys. For the Love of You reinforces his role as current bandleader of his quartet along with other groups (4 Walls of Freedom, Milt Jackson tribute project, et cetera). This video was recorded live at Dizzy's Club Coca Cola in New York, New York on January 30, 2010, and was produced by Jeff Jones of Jazz at Lincoln Center.
