This baby orangutan is learning to climb and swing. She is not a pet in as not meant to be portrayed as one. Her mother could not care for her so she was cared for by humans for a short while. That was ONLY until a surrogate orangutan mother could be located. Orangutans stay with their mothers for 7 to 8 years. Orangutans are an endangered speices. They are very strong animals and should NEVER be treated as or kept as pets or performing animals. Thankfully this one never will be.
