Victaulic decided to prove their couplings reliability by putting them through a earthquake simulation. The Victaulic couplings were exposed to accelerations up to 50% greater than the Northridge, California earthquake, and they proved reliable. The test was conducted by a nationally recognized NEES testing group at the ATLSS center.
