It took once to show Matisse that his poop goes inside the toilet, and he forever used the toilet to go to the bathroom from then on when he was outside of his cage. Inside, he was litter box trained. Yeah he could get down from the toilet in this video but he was in an exploring mood at the time.

The emin's rat is related to the gambian pouched rat. They're slightly smaller and sleeker in appearance. They have a longer snout, a clear line of demarcation from their whiteish belly and brown upper body, and their fur is slick looking. The gambian has a stocky build, is uniform grey colored, has a shorter snout, and a "rougher" looking coat.
