Aspiring writer Lizzie Bergeron becomes romantically involved with the subject of an intended article-rock musician Sam. Consequently, she procrastinates and flounders as she struggles for inspiration to write a screenplay. Ending in a confrontation that fortells the fate of the relationship and that contrasts with a concluding note of individual perseverance.
