Shepherd runs ten miles a day and then lifts weights and works as a personal trainer. Shepherd is in the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripleyâs Believe it or Not as the worldâs oldest competitive female bodybuilder. Shepherd also travels the world as a motivational speaker. And sheâs an active member of Union Memorial United Methodist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Ernestine considers it her ministry to inspire others to live healthy lives. Friend Cynthia Winkler says "She didn't start until she was in her fifties. So when I got to my fifties I said, 'Ooh, if Ms. Ernestine can do this maybe this is something I can do!'"
