The wire originates from the transmitter and forms a circular boundary and returns to the transmitter. Once the transmitter is activated it emits coded digital FM frequency radio signals in all directions through the wires. The collar attached to dog can pick this radio signals which first produces a warning beep, and a static correction to remind the dog not to move further. There is also a wire break alarm to give advance information about any faults within the dog fencing system.
