Art of living organized a picnic in Bishan Park a real great place for a picnic. From the car park we took this small walk over the bridge and a small path to reach this cluster of trees. On Valentines Day even the sun was kind and the chirpy volunteers and the home mates made up this perfect picnic group. The walk to the picnic spot was in silence nobody quite sure what to expect. The enthusiasm of the great volunteers soon rubbed on to the whole group and we had great participation in games, singing, eating and sharing. The atmosphere was quite noisy with lots of group games yet peaceful enough for some of the home residents to grab a short nap.
Groups playing snakes and ladder or UNO or bingo, not forgetting cricket, football or dog and the bone had one thing in common the feeling of enjoyment. All these activities were followed well by a hearty meal all so well planned by Sashi and her whole group. Every single person contributed to making a difference.
