And then after Knuckles ends up knocking Chaos Emeralds out of Sonic's hands the monster Chaos consumes the Emeralds and becomes Chaos with 4 Emeralds. Knuckles didn't know that Sonic had Chaos Emeralds. He was convinced by Dr. Robotnik that Sonic had taken pieces of the Master Emerald. What a trickster. Knuckles has to face Chaos with 4 Emeralds after his conflict with Sonic.
