The Outer Critics Circle is the organization of writers and commentators covering New York theater for out-of-town newspapers, national publications and other media beyond Broadway. The group recently announced the nominees for this years Outer Critics Circle awards.
My favorite of the nomination this year has got to be Jessica Jahn, Michael Bottari & Ronald Case for best costume design for the kitschy and hysterical Die Mommy Die, written by and starring the lovely Charles Busch.
As for the top nominations, South Pacific picked up 8, Les Liasons Dangereuses snatched 9 and surprisingly, Young Frankenstein, a show that has received lukewarm reviews and has been struggling at the box office, leads the pack with 10...
