A pregnant streetwalker's boyfriend attempts to defraud a wealthy widow of her money.

The story is about an ambitious young man who is exploiting his girlfriend. She is working as a prostitute to support him. She's also pregnant. One day she meets a wealthy woman who's just lost her husband. The widow is coincidentally the target of the girl's boyfriend who finds her in the obituary section of the newspaper and wants to defraud her of her money. The girl reveals her boyfriend's intentions to the widow. She goes to live with her. Her boyfriend continues with one scheme after another, never once considering the possibility of redemption.
