Mr. Wahaj us Siraj is CEO and co-founder of Nayatel (Pvt) Ltd., which has installed Pakistan's first fiber to the home (FTTH) project in Islamabad in 2007 to provide voice, video and high speed Internet access to business and home users. Before Nayatel’s launch, Mr. Siraj co-founded Micronet Broadband (Pvt) Ltd., the first one to launch broadband Digital Subscribers Line (DSL) services in Pakistan in 2002. Currently, Mr. Siraj is heading both companies. Mr. Siraj has vast experience in Internet and telecom industry and also worked with the Government of Pakistan at policy making level.
Mr. Siraj holds a Masters Degree in Engineering from The University of Melbourne, Australia and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore.
A Hafiz-e-Quran from his childhood, Mr. Siraj is a founder member of ISPAK (Internet Service Providers Association of Pakistan) and has been a strong activist for reforms in Pakistani IT and Telecom industry
