Burton LeBlanc, environmental attorney at Baron and Budd, testifies against a bill in the Louisiana State Senate that would limit the ability of asbestos claimants to receive compensation from trusts. The bill would place more responsibility on asbestos victims, dramatically slow the claims process and ultimately discourage people from seeking compensation from asbestos trusts. LeBlanc was the only attorney who spoke against the bill, and he was not paid for his appearance.
