Speaking before the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Wednesday, Martin Schulz MEPÂ (Germany), leader of the opposition Socialists & Democrats (S&D), backed the EPP on the issue, saying the European Commission and the Parliament should have a greater say on the economic governance of the euro area. Time has run out, he said, for "the middle way, half yes half no, let's wait and see" approach currently governing the euro zone.
